Oooo thanks for the update on your giant smart pot! I think I'm gonna try to grow some veggies in smart pots next year and see how it goes. Those growya pots also look super interesting. Might have to pick up a couple for next season! :)

Peppers will if you keep it in the greenhouse. Then replant next year. It will produce more next year.

Hi there! Yes, we would love to do this, but our green house is not heated and even inside during the winter, the temperatures can get below freezing (20F or less) where it kills our pepper plants in our growing zone (8b). We hope you can overwinter yours and enjoy them next year. 😊👍🏼

How do I overwinter the dahlia bulbs I grew in grow bags. I am in zone 6a

Hi there! Great question. We over winter our dahlias by digging and removing them from our grow bags, clean them off and let them dry for a few days (moisture even on them during storage can lead to rot and bugs/worms), and then place them in either plastic storage bins (no lids) or in large Costco cardboard boxes with labels and pack loosely with shredded/torn pieces of newspaper, completely covering them with the newspaper. Then, we set them inside an heated garage (unheated garage is ok as long as it gets full sun exposure even during winter, so it accumulates lots of heat during the day that still keeps it warmi-ish during the coldest days/ is storing during deep freezes, bring inside so they don't get exposed to extreme cold for too long or they won't make it) on shelves away from windows, and dry as possible. That's it until the spring. Hope that helps! 😊😀

Hi, I asked a question about mulching, can you reply please, can I use compost to mulch for a young rosemary plant in a large pot. Thank you

Hi there! Yes, in general, it should be ok to mulch with compost around a young rosemary plant in a container. Make sure the compost doesn't touch or bury any part of the rosemary main stem or it can lead to rotting of the stem. A high organic matter compost with least amount of any animal manure will work well. Compost mulches we have used before are "Black Gold", "Cedar Grove", and "E.B. Stones Organics".
