Bonjour! Je suis très heureuse d’avoir découvert cette vidéo! WoW! Mon Zinnia préféré est le Séniorita. Il est fabuleux et son beau rose est une teinte qui varie au fil de la saison.

TYFS - I too LOVE Zinnias! I was a little 🙄 disappointed with this video only because it said “plant care”. Now I have to wait until next week 🤦🏻♀️ for deadheading etc for these plants. I believe that this is the reason for the 2 thumbs down. I appreciate the info on the different varieties, heights, widths, companion planting, life spans, & where you’ve purchased seeds & plants. I’m really looking forward to seeing your upcoming videos on the actual “plant care”. Just a FYI, I have had some real good luck/results from the boxes of seeds including the zinnias from Dollar Tree. It’s a very inexpensive way to add to the garden on a tight budget 😉. Thank you for taking the time to create & share your knowledge in your garden, I really enjoy your videos.

I planted these zinnias in my leach field. I think they will do okay there. Not all wildflowers do well in a leach field. Bachelor button likes dryer soil. You see, I bought this home where nearly the entire yard is the leach field. Bermuda grass which is commonly ground in central Texas does not like the leach field. Clover or Augustine grass is better. Anyway, I commented more than about zinnias.

I have Zinnias and love them. My question is, How do you arrange them in a vase with out trimming off all the leaves? Or would you show us how to work with them in an arrangement. This is the first time viewing your videos and I did subscribe. Thanks! ❤️

Hello! I have seen one of your videos on how to collect zinnia seeds. In that video, I thought of remembered you said that if I planted seeds from a specific color zinnia, let's say yellow, I won't necessarily get yellow flowers. Instead, I could get flowers of all different colors. Is that true? Last year I collected seeds from white and yellow benary's giant zinnias. I planted those seeds in the spring. Now I am getting fusia color zinnias from what I thought were seeds of white benary's giant and red color zinnias from seeds of yellow zinnias?! Did I totally got my seeds mixed up or what you said were actually happening? Please comment.

Do they have to be in raised bed? We have clay soil in Texas.

hi. thank you for the informative video. i have planted zinnia & appreciate how they fed the butterflies, bees, hummingbirds & more on our backyard. they love it! since they are annuals, does it mean the whole plant is going to die & i have to plant another batch for next year? or will it just be dormant like looks dry but not dead or still green but not flowering? what are the other flowers to plant to continuously feed our pollinators? thanks ❤️🐿🦋🌻🌺🌸🌼🌹🐝

Hi Kathryn! 👋 That's sooo fun you plant zinnias this year and they fed so many pollinators. That's great! 😃👍 Thank you for you question and, yes, since zinnias are annuals you will need to plant new seeds or plants next spring. Zinnias usually don't have a dormancy period and then come back, so replanting is a good idea. Great question! Other plants you can have in your garden to continue to feed your pollinators are asters, hellebores, camellia, pansies, violas, mums (chrysanthemums), and these are just a few. There are other and it depends on your local climate and what plants are available in your local nurseries. Hope that was helpful and thank you for watching and commenting! 😉
