It depends on if you're playing the original or rehydrated. If you're playing the original then after beating the game there should be a platform of some kind near the police station in the hub area that will take you back to the spongeball arena. If you're playing the remake then you won't find the platform because I think they forgot to put it in. Although defeating the final boss again should work in both versions of the game I think.

insane kangaroo gamer I beat the final boss again and unfortunately it didn’t work... so it seems that there’s absolutely no way of getting back there which really sucks. I accidentally pressed the back button before I even had a chance to look around.

Well that sucks. I can't think of any other way to get back there unless you restart the entire game maybe. Don't do that if you haven't gotten 100% though. Sorry I couldn't help in any other way.

No time limit. Only way out is to roll under the finish banner and press R, only way back is to stand on the SpongeBall stand and press R.
