@@zeff3016 It was hyped up like crazy and even had a video game made about it, but rewatching it now I don’t think it sucks but it’s pretty mid (if you compare it to the writing of seasons 1-3). And the whole musical-thing feels like a gimmick, and the setting and adventure is simply novelty. Kids will enjoy it though (I did), and good on the show runners for trying new things.

I really think “The Krusty Sponge” episode just makes fun of the fact that SpongeBob is everywhere. Like, SpongeBob got major popularity in movies, TV and merchandising, and that one episode made fun of that fact. 😅

I pretty much hate most episodes of spongebob after season 3, and have only been watching to support these guy's channel, but the Krusty Sponge episode (which I've never watched before) seems pretty smart for its era. It feels like a tongue in cheek mockery of Nickelodeon for being overly reliant on Spongebob media (especially at the time that this episode would have been released).

The Krusty Sponge could've been good if it wasn't for them somehow swapping the title card with The Krusty Plate's title card, overall dumb execution and Squidward torture. Sing a Song of Patrick is one of the first SpongeBob episodes I watched and I find it good to this day, my favorite part is 11:20 A Flea in Her Dome sucks. 22:55 is the only part I like. The Donut Of Shame is kinda good. I don't get much out of this one beyond Patrick being a particularly good friend. 32:41 Dream on, Pat. The Krusty Plate is ok, one of the better shorts.
