My favorite SpongeBob game! used to play this all the time when I was a kid, I remember this was one of the first games I ever got 100% in. I'm glad you played the original instead of the remake because despite how much I like the remake I feel like the original is still the best version of the game to play due to some of the changes they made in the remake.

It's one of my childhood favorites as well. This is my second time 100%ing it for my channel as it was one of my original GameCube longplays. I like the darker tone and the art style of the original more but rehydrated is easier to 100% even if the weight of the characters feels slightly off.

I love this game. This really brought some nostalgic memories. I hope they rehydrate the other spongebob games I used to play like creature from the Krusty Krab, spongebob squarepants movie, and lights camera pants. But a part of me doubts it.

It's actually not the first time I've redone one of my old longplays at a higher quality. I tend to do around one of year, but now that I have a better gamecube cable I also want to redo Jimmy neutron jet fusion, Luigi's mansion (for halloween), super mario sunshien, and fairly odd parents breaking the rules. Some others I've redone over the years are mario party (n64), punch-out (wii), stranglehold (xbox 360), and sonic mania (Switch).

@Masco the main reasons I choose battle for bikini bottom was it was in the days when I split all longplays above 2.5 hours into multiple videos so it didn't fit with all the other longplays in the spongebob playlist, and also to get hyped for cosmic shake

@@MutchGames Technically, almost anything in the first 9 GameCube longplays could technically be in need of a redoing or a one video longplay. The only ones that don't are SpongeBob Battle for Bikini Bottom (because of this video now) and Dragon Ball Z: Budokai [08] GameCube Longplay due to that already being one video. I don't see much reason to redo the Dragon Ball Z: Budokai longplay other than to maybe improve the picture quality (which doesn't look that bad to me), but otherwise it's fine.

I like how you've played this game 3 times for the channel now, especially if Rehydrated is counted. Also, despite you trying to improve the quality (which you did succeed at of course), this longplay video is still a little longer than the Rehydrated longplay version you did. I'm sure there's reasons for that such as how in Battle for Bikini Bottom: Rehydrated, you had to trim down some of the main menu stuff and mute the secret cutscene due to using the actual theme song from the show (a red flag for copyright already). At least this original version of the game uses an alternate version of the theme song that doesn't seam to get you into any copyright trouble.

This longplays time was avg time for beating the levels. Rehydrated I did faster than avg since I felt the controls were easier and I nailed kelp forest and mermalair.
