The more I learn about this show, the more I enjoy it in spite of myself. Ive never understood the appeal of Spongebob even though it was huge when I was growing up. I only looked into it because the children's theater I volunteer at is doing it next summer and I'm signing up to do vocal coaching.

My daughter is being plankton in April with her performing arts school. They have 3 casts for the 3 different groups. She was the only one that had the speed rap down straight way, thanks to watching it lots. (Being dyslexic makes learning lines harder). They now at times make her practice it quicker so it's easier at the right speed. ( She wanted plankton but could only audition for either a male or female role (male song eas simple sponge and female daddy knows best). They weren't allowed to say which character they wanted so she was chuffed to get plankton. Apparently 1st official armature production in UK and as its touring next year they have a big book on how it has to be done and what can't be cut ect.
