I grew up in the Midwest, but my husband and I moved to Maryland in 2000 and to Virginia in 2007. DC always pulls at my heartstrings. Your video made me cry as it brings up so many memories of times spent there over the years. Springtime is simply the most beautiful time.

It's funny how you mentioned that spring can look like fall. Just last weekend I was in a neighborhood that is glorious in color in the fall. A particular street was full of trees with full white blooms. I said to myself, "wow, this reminds me of fall" even though they were white. I appreciated spring in that moment. I also didn't know that weeping cherry trees existed! Thank you for sharing this lovely trip with us.

Whoa!! Those cherry blossoms and the flowers are gorgeous! Out here in the desert and in parts of southern California we're experiencing a superbloom. Nice video. Takes me back when I was little living in North Adam’s on Olds st. Our wonderful landlord Pete Cook had an apple orchard and I loved playing around those trees when they were blossoming. The fragrant blooms. The orchard is gone now and homes are now there.

I grew up walking through our nations cherry blossoms. Have had a cherry blossom tree growing in my yard at each residence except one. I take it you really didn't do that trip this April, unless your hair grew out really fast. Or maybe the order is mixed up and you cut your hair afterwards. Wow, thanks for the trip! We went several years ago to DC, for the Cherry Blosom festival. Even more amazing you stopped by my area, as I work out of Philadelphia and have been watching the weeping cherry trees along the banks of the Schuylkill River daily. It's something locally awesome to walk through in the early spring, very much akin to the feeling I got in D.C. Ally and you are blessed to be able to pull the trigger on this level of spontaneity. The mental and physical benefits are self evident!
