Spontaneous Worship during Covid Crisis | Jonathan and Melissa Helser & Cageless Birds | Amanda Cook

At the beginning of the Covid Crisis, before our home state of NC issued a Stay at Home order, we felt the urgency to gather together - to worship, sing and pray over our nation and the nations of the world. Our only agenda was to get Heaven’s perspective and the mind of the Lord for this moment in time.
We didn't come with a set list or a group of written songs to sing.
We took a few hours in the Helser's living room and sang over homes, families, hearts and minds. We played and prophesied through our instruments - because as musicians, we believe that this changes the atmosphere.
Our desire is that this FILLS your home with home, releases faith and propels you to contend for your communities and families as we all wait for breakthrough. These are spontaneous songs - our prayers and heart for this hour. We are praying for you and believing for Faith to RISE in these days.

We had a miscarriage 6 years ago, would have been a Zoe-Claire and sister to our eldest boy... I could have really seen me as a dad of a daughter. We now have two wonderful boys. But it was a sad time for me. But one thing is true, we have a Comforter in Christ and His Holy Spirit. The Heavenly Father loves all of His children dearly and will not leave us without hope. The first time I listened to this, I had just come back to NC from Buffalo. I left for Buffalo on March 8, 2020. My brother died that morning from a drug overdose. On March 20, I got sick and was too sick to drive home. Didn’t know until 2 months later it was Covid. Arrived back in NC on April 1. On April 7, 2020, my dad’s oldest brother, who just finished chemo and was with us for my brother’s funeral, died from Covid. July 22, 2020, my dad’s youngest brother died. This worship music is what I listened every night when I went to bed for months. It is truly anointed. It soothed my deeply wounded soul and kept me grounded in the truth.

I remember the day I gave my life to Jesus. On January 3rd, 2019. It was a Monday morning, in the trailer I lived in. For the first time in over 10 years, I decided to listen to worship music. The first song I listened to was "No Longer Slaves" by Jonathan and Melissa Helser. I immediately began to weep uncontrollably and continued to worship for the rest of the day. Most of it either on my knees or on my face. I 21 now and at the time I gave my life to Christ, I was 19. I had battled depression, pornography, drugs, fear, self worth, and so much more. Needless to say, since then, my life has been radically changed. God restored my relationship with my parents and provided more opportunities than I could have ever imagined. I've continued to worship through the ministry of the Helsers. Maybe one day I will have the honor of meeting you in person. But if that never happens, I wanted to thank you for your hearts for worship. Your continued commitment, along with the hearts of many of your friends and family, to seek after the Fathers heart continues to inspire me. Thank you for your continued obedience. Keep chasing after the Father. Relentlessly. Without a moment of hesitation. He is and forever will be more worthy of praise than words can convey.

But throughout the process I have learned more about God's grace than ever before. I never condone the sin. But I have learned to always come back to God. Regardless. The Heart of David, 288 prophetic singers, 4000 musicians, 4000 watchmen (Intercessors) and 20,000 more to tend to the Ark of the Covenant. This is, "Your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Day and night they are worshipping His majestic Glory we should be doing the same. Music does shift atmospheres, so I personally want to say, "thank you" to all in this video, keep doing what your doing. God is so pleased with the prophetic sound that comes from your instruments and your voices.

I listened to this worship for the first time during the pandemic. On New Year's Eve, it was forbidden to go outside, so I spent the evening alone at home, thinking about people who had families and could at least spend the evening with them (I was single then). I "accidentally" opened this worship and soon I started praising God. When the worship ended, there was such joy and peace in my heart that I forgot about all my sadness :) Now, whenever I listen to this music, I return to those moments of incredible closeness with God❤

This was so powerful! The Holy Spirit ministered to me during worship as I was praying and he said that we can pray what seems simple prayers ‘I declare God’s goodness over my nation’ or ‘I proclaim God’s delight over my situation’ without purposefully using religious language or over complicating words just ‘simple’ words but that are so powerful because God’s goodness encompasses all good and more good than we can describe or imagine. I proclaim God’s goodness over you all, God bless 💕

This is still my absolute favorite worship set. I remember being full of fear that we were all passing away from covid. Now I have had it 2 times. Once myself a close family member almost passed away of covid but God had other plans and here we to give God praise. Thank you to whoever is responsible for leaving this worship set up. It is still blessing so many people. Your such a blessing. God bless all of you.
