So I like the framework. Now tell us HOW to force corners. Anyone who hasn't done this doesnt know HOW to force corners. The opponents just go down the middle and score. Other thing that would be a really good video is what balls are threats. SOOO much debate on this. A "simple and predicatble corner bounce" is sometimes a threat and sometimes they just get a crazy shot, but that happens alot honestly. Last thing is how to get off defense. Even if you are on high boost, the 50's are very rarely leaving your side and the opponents just keep getting middle boosts and switching who is going, so you just stay on defense for ages BARELY getting saves and having almost NO chances to score; therefore having almost no chance to win. Let me know what you think! Thanks!
@isaacdodds712 Жыл бұрын
Obviously, I am a "bad" player. Just looking to figure out what I am doing wrong. Whenever I try something like this, my teammate works against me super duper hard and I have no clue what to do when thats happening. Then it makes the game super unfun. So I guess if its fun vs. good like this, unless you have some more clear/better insights, I will just stay bad and have fun lol. Sad if thats the truth.
@garrettpater6557 Жыл бұрын
When forcing just have one teammate force a flick and then the 2nd man should have a free ball. Also another good tip is to just not boom the ball away. If your perpetually stuck on defense your probably just giving the ball back to your opponents.
@mikeiavelli Жыл бұрын
"... how to get off defense. [...] so you just stay on defense for ages BARELY getting saves and having almost NO chances to score; therefore having almost no chance to win." I think you have the wrong mindset. When in defense, just KEEP CALM AND ROTATE. When the opponent cannot manage to score over long periods of time, it gets in their head. If you struggle in defense, I suggest you first master the goalie all-star in-game custom training, then do a few defense training packs. (Btw, shadow defense packs would also help you implement the "forcing to the corner" strategy.) When in offense, your goal is not to score; your goal is to create good conditions with a higher probability of scoring (create 2v1s, keep control of the ball, use the space given to you by the opponent, boost starve the opponent, watch for easy demos when rotating, etc.). But whatever you do.... ...KEEP CALM AND ROTATE! (Backpost. Yeah, just rotate backpost.)

Flakes created an entire series on this. He didn't break it down into one short video because it can't be broken down into one short video. I'm a big believer in cheating up on ALL kickoffs. We've had more success with cheating up in 2's vs. not. I do appreciate the strategies offered in this video but this is the one area I actually disagree with Spook Luke on. You pressure the other team and take possession early. If you execute a solid kickoff and set the tone with an early goal, it could demoralize/tilt the other team significantly.
@sohtnax78099 ай бұрын
There is no other options than cheating up every kickoff. You'll concede a lot of goals over champ1 if you don't follow up on the kickoff. People that go for boost are either caught slacking or diamonds plat or below. The higher you rank up the more you see people cheating up. It's the meta
@bazkie6 ай бұрын
@@sohtnax7809 completely disagree. Following is a dangerous strat, and going for boost makes more sense as long as your mate doesn't botch the kickoff. Because then you have one player with boost in the team and you immediately have the upper hand. And positionally it makes a lot more sense, too.

@mikeiavelli Жыл бұрын
Actually, I think it's the opposite. It won't help you rank fast because your teammate will not understand what you're trying to do in lower ranks and he will mess this up. But it will make you a better player in the long run, as you will have better awareness of what is happening, you will learn to capitalize on 2v1s, learn not to give away possession, learn better ground control or learn how to boom the ball over your opponents in open space (or even get a free goal), etc.... ⚽
