+Dylan G If the designer of this game cared more about the story, I would like the game, but if you read the story of there monsters, or the logs, in the game, it is inconsistent, and whenever the writing was almost, like, to a point where the story would be treated seriously, it was like the designer said "Nah it's just a dumb game, I'm not gonna put any more thought into writing this, lol!". So I stand by what I said, because they started to get better than Creepypasta-level writing, but maybe they didn't want it to be better. I actually do like the designs of the monsters, I don't _hate_ this game.

Only time I like commentary is by my favorite channel, WatchGirlsPlay. 42:10 spooky: so you've made it this far. Spooky's head: let's try fix that with a gift that says look behind you and shows you specimen 1 popping out to give them a heart attack! Maybe that will kill them! 53:19 luckily I never saw Howard when I was playing this. SPECIMEN 6 CAN SHOW UP WHILE GOUR BEING CHASED BY SPECIMEN 7?! Dude... 10 is easy, don't try to run from that one! Go slow and make sure it's within a short distance. (Not too short!) If you're too far from it, it'll turn into the leech monster that you can't even outrun while sprinting.

While I'm sure this game has it's moments, large sections of this had to have been dull as dishwater to play through. I thought the writing on the notes was of poor quality and the "found papers" trope has been done to death over the last 20-25 years. I did enjoy it's seeming references to other game franchises such as the phone/fan from 5 Nights at Freddy's. I think I would have enjoyed this more if it had been a comedy game as it appeared to be at the beginning. I think 500 rooms would have been sufficient as well, perhaps with more puzzles.

Yeah, the game's kinda always been a walking simulator. It's strong points are the Specimen, so the beginning is slow. It definitely could play with some more ideas, but it's enjoyable for its simple concept!

+Maria The Dark Flower I think they eye almost used effectively, but there were some bad game design choices here. The worst of which, thankfully, was running around that room waiting for the meat demon (I forget the #), until the door appeared. Bad game design is not fun. However, they did an okay job here. The story was not written well, even if it had a point. The graphics were really the best thing about this game. And yes, I agree, the specimen 1s were cute.

BrownCake this is like the old version, there is an hd renovation too that has better graphics, if that is not the case the logo changes as well somethings as Easter eggs. If that isn’t the case either then it might be an older version from when the game was called “spooky’s house of jumpscares” which was changed to “spooky’s jumpscare mansion” I think due copyright things
