Probably rhetorical lol but I'm gonna take a shot: A handbell choir will have one person hold the low C and low D bells, the next person hold the low E and low F bells, and just go on up the scale like that. Might be similar here- but for songs with more complicated rhythmic structures I wouldn't be surprised if they do something different

I particularly love the second from the right who's constantly switching around his tubes but only occasionally does anything with them, sometimes even picking one up to then put it back down a few seconds later without using it. And I swear, I catch something new each time I rewatch this.
