How to not get jumpscared tips and tricks: idk if you live alone or whatever but i used to play tarkov and always jumped. I just asked all the people who live with me to sneak up and scare me from behind whenever possible. I now never get scared, not even at the instagram reels where some sort of creature comes out of nowhere. I have the nerves of a golem.

Tip: Repair benches can now refill jackhammers for free, just like workbenches (since 1 or 2 updates ago). One of the furnace bases you raided, you used a jackhammer to raid to the TC and had to run outside to refill it. But they had a repair bench right inside. Good luck in the future. Jump scare training: I got over this playing ghosts of tabor in VR. Any time you go into a high risk situation just take some slow deep breaths. Gets you into the mindset that you’re going to get shot at reminding you not to jump because you’re readying yourself for it whilst also calming you and steadying the nerves.

45:32 gave me such a great idea for when you're raiding and are in that situation. You should place 2-3 bags around the raid target before you start raiding. Raid, get loot out, got to a well hidden bush, suicide, respawn in one of the nearby bags, and repeat. Let's be honest, very unlikely someone spots the bodies and you get more loot out before he can respawn and seal.

Jumpiness is usually the result of being under a lot of stress. Playing Rust, not trusting anyone plays a role. Poor diet and lack of sleep can also lead to stress. But the single greatest cause would be if you ever play with a player named Blazed. He's the no.1 cause of most young men's jumpiness.

spoonkid i am a licensed psychologist, what you have to do to get over ur fear of jump scares is avoiding it as much as possible, at all costs avoid it. it is the only way. it works because evetually when u dont experience it u will build up ur defenses against it and u will become stronger and then u won’t be scared. the period you have to avoid it is probably about half a year. forgive me for my bad spelling english is my third language

I think the fear in rust comes from the feeling of being safe. If you're always in the mindset of being safe in the moment, you're more likely to be scared when you aren't safe. Keeping the mind on it's tip toes in every altercation and expecting there to always be another person will keep you alive and less fearful Best of luck spoon, fear is only natural and you grow ahead of it 🙏🙏

Got rid of fear by immersion. Scares me? Got comfortable with it. I also constantly remind myself that the worst thing that could happen is I could die. If that hasn’t happened then everything is a-okay. Pick up a combat sport (BJJ, Muay Thai, MMA, Wrestling) where the curriculum is you and your training partner literally fighting. Makes everything else real calm.

The way to get over jump scares is to train with a known coming jump scare. Start with a jump scare that will come some time in the next 5 minutes, then do 10, then 20. A little tip with getting scared. There is a chance that your game volume is a little too loud. So when someone shoots you get scared as well its just so loud. I had that issue with DayZ. See if turning the game down a little will help.

10:00 spoonkid, as someone with a type of autism that involves loud noises being a trigger, the best way to get over involuntary reactions to a loud noise is to surround yourself with it constantly. Go put the conjuring the devil made me do it on your biggest tv and full volume and watch it over and over again until you are numb to the pain of a loud noise. I remember the first time I realized this the people at the renaissance fair were firing cannons and I just randomly started screaming even tho I was like 12 or 13 at the time. Like fit screaming too lmao.
