But by the rules of the game that was a needlessly aggressive action. It does not even compare to Kaka minding his own business and getting a red card because some guy ran into him.

"You did put your hands up and shouldn't have done that so you get a card. But YOU acted like you'd been shot to get the other player sent off when they barely touched you, so you get a card too"

The problem is the rules. If there were drastic consequences like being banned for a couple of months this would immediately stop. Same for dives. I find lack of fairness and sportsmanship to be far more disgusting than anything else.
