Deontray Woodson they're rebounds that are pulled down when your team is on offense. Technically it still serves to take away possessions from the opponent. But I was speaking of rebounds as they pertain to the video. What kind of rebound is it called when the team on defense gets a rebound from the chasedown block?

The thing is when you are running down the court going for a layup, you tend to slow down when you get close to the bucket and assume no one is near. It's not all about LeBron being faster, it's mostly the unexpected happening.
@UltraBearsFan10 жыл бұрын
That's very true, but still, LeBron James is incredibly fast for his size. The shedding of a ton of weight this offseason will probably signal an even faster LeBron--a scary thought.
@duffmangameplay10 жыл бұрын
True but you have to be impressed by .3 of a second he had to block the shot, i aint even a lebron fan but that is rather incredible
@emjay12499 жыл бұрын
James Duffy ikr. But there are definitely some cases where he blocked the shot but it was a goaltending. It's difficult to see when the game is that fast
@Antbeast239 жыл бұрын
Lol some of it is lebron speed and slowing down also but I've seen people try to dunk it and they still get block by him like kobe and rondo.

Good counterpoint but his concentration was still partially devoted to having to spot and catch that pass and it's not like he instantaneously knew he only needed to take one dribble so the fact remains that his entire journey to the basket involved divided concentration rather than a hard sprint culminating in jumping right at the basket like LBJ knew he had to do from the very instant he saw the breakaway begin.

Its not goaltending until the ball has passed the apex of the shot, or in other words it is not goaltending unless the ball is on its way back down after going up from the shot. There are some exceptions such as if the ball has touched the backboard (even if it is still going up) then it is goaltending. but no that block was far from goaltending

Really? T. Prince did that to Reggie Miller, it's one of the unforgettable highlights in NBA. Michael Jordan did it too when he was a Wizard against his former team, Bulls. It's on youtube by the way. It was probably the sickest chase down block I have ever seen. Two hands grabbing the ball. When did you start watching NBA anyway? I'm pretty sure there's more out there.

Why is this guy making every aspect of the play sound so amazing? It is a "block" hence the highlight play, if it were a "goaltend", the video would have not been used. So, why is he talking like Lebron is able to make a successful chase-down block in every single attempt?
@OngleBongle11 жыл бұрын
Chase down blocks are easy cauae you get this adreneline of wanting to block so even if he is feets ahead of you.You start running incredibly faster and you suddenly do a monster block.

yea maybe so. still though, he's fully recovered physically, and for the amount of money he's getting he should be doing amazing things. he could single-handedly be the difference between a championship and a mediocre season. and again, i'd take D'Rose at 50% over most of the league at 100%. I really don't think they can win a championship without him right now, and I really think they could if he was playing

They did pump fakes, dunks and reverses like crazy in the 80s and 90s. I don't know if today's athletes are lacking the instinct to do these moves but it would render plays like this as obselete.
