Thanks for the tips. I`m about to change the hoses on my Triumph Sprint 1050. I wasn`t sure how to do up the hose clamps as the ones fitted by Triumph are really tight. This video was a great help in that regard.

Thank you very much for the video! I have followed the steps and I have been able to change everything in my house (without being a mechanic) although I have seen that there is a bleeder upstairs that you have not used. should i use it or just the bottom one? Thank you!

If you follow the process for bleeding the system we used in this video you will purge all the air from the system. - Van

Hello Brian, I follow you totally and have practically learnt how to rebuild my bike from your teachings. The one thing I am looking for is how to do the thermos bypass ......thanks
@sportbiketrackgear9 жыл бұрын
I do not believe there is one available, only the hoses thus far. - Van
@Seve7cypherZ3 жыл бұрын
Hey Van what do you think of the thermo bypass I alredy bought the same kit you installed but wondering is it worth to go with the bypass and are only samco clips recommended or can I use other rubber friendly ones I didn’t get a set with my purchase

Clamps are sold separately. We can get them for you but they need to be special ordered as the US distributor does not keep them in stock for some reason. - Van

Is the mod from OEM hoses to Samco really obvious? would it be worth the investment?

IMO well worth the investment. The devil is in the details and this is a badass looking detail.

what is the difference between OEM hoses and samco hoses

Does anyone make a metal pipe to replace the plastic one one the left side of the bike?
@tylerlaursen75307 жыл бұрын
When taking off oem hoses will they match up with the samco ones so you don't put the wrong hose in the wrong spot?
@sportbiketrackgear7 жыл бұрын
Yes you typically can do that. There are some kits where they modify the routing of the hoses a little bit, still able to match the stock set up to get them in the right spots. - Van

I added coolant in the bottle in between full and low, and after I went for a ride then park in my garage, it will start leaking. When I came back the next day, the coolant level dropped to just under the low level. If I add more coolant, it will still leaks after I ride. When I took my bike to the shop and plugin with their computer, there is no sign for over heating or anything wrong. And my normal temperature when riding is about 110c or 230f Is it normal? 2017 R1
@sportbiketrackgear4 жыл бұрын
When you say it is leaking do you see a puddle under the bike? If you do see a puddle you will need to remove the fairings from the bike and look for signs of the leak. It is also important to note that you should not be filling up the overflow bottle to the top. If it is over filled like that it will expel the excess coolant through the drain hose attached to the over flow bottle. As the coolant temp rises the coolant expands. Once pressure hits a certain level the cap allows some of the coolant to flow into the over flow bottle. If the over flow bottle has been filled to high coolant will then be expelled from the over flow bottle. Once the coolant cools a partial vacuum is created allowing coolant to be drawn from the over flow bottle back into the system. - Van

@@sportbiketrackgear hey man, thx for the reply. yes, there is a puddle. I only fill half of the bottle, but it always drain after I take it for a ride. the next day I see when the bike has already cool down, and the coolant level would be just under the low level. When I go for a ride again, and when the temperature rise, the coolant only expands to half of the bottle. Thx for the suggestion, I will remove the fairing and see what is going on.

As always, Van, great video. Question, I was looking at your site and it has "Out Of Stock" for 2012 GSXR-750, but only in the BLUE color option. Does your company carry other color variations (preferably RED)? Any information that you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

@sportbiketrackgear9 жыл бұрын
Ronald Wilson You should be able to replace the reservoir without opening the system so no you would not need to bleed the brakes. - Van

wasn't me Normally replacing the hoses improves the coolant flow as the Samco flow better than stock due to material and sometimes shape. In this video I make it pretty clear this is primarily a cosmetic mod on this bike as there are only 3 hoses and the main hoses are very short. - Van
