Goodness! Since Russia's gold medal finish during the 2000 Sydney Olympics for Synchronized Swimming, there was never any way of stopping them. They never looked back, but kept on innovating and outdoing themselves every time they performed and competed thereafter. The Russian team also knows when to surge forward with an entirely new routine to showcase, and when to rein in on themselves with a classic winning routine of a few years old, in order not to exhaust their prowess and themselves.

Not necessarily true as far as Russia's choice of music is concerned... You can try to check out the music they used during their 2004 Athens Olympics Free Routine Competition and 2007 Brazil World Cup Competition performances. The music they used there was unmistakably Latin or Spanish - a departure from their signature classic accompaniments. There is much advantage in using classical music because the time signatures determine the number of beats in a measure for them to synchronize with.

Да...британский судья - большой завистник. Нехорошо, победителей не судят. Хорошо, что ввели новую систему судейства.
