I think it's just because we've watched this celtics team in its different iterations do this for the last 3 years. For whatever reason, they just do this. They get big leads and squander them. The play clunky and seemingly half asleep. You can basically count on them not showing up to at least one game a series. They had the sweep on the Brooklyn Nets 2 years ago, the year they went to the finals. Otherwise it's been weird. On their finals run, they basically lost to the Heat except Jimmy took the three and missed in game seven. Last year they dropped two to the hawks and let a 76ers team without Embiid win the first game and then take them to seven. They dropped three in a row to the Heat and then won three in a row, only for JT to roll his ankle and then basically give up. This year they let a cavs team without Donovan Mitchell hang around, though they did finish them off in both games he was out. They dropped a game at home to an 8-seed Heat without Jimmy Butler. It wasn't because the Heat set a franchise record for 3s, it was because they just stopped closing out for no apparent reason. Time and time again this team loses games and then responds by dismantling their opponent. And then loses again. And repeats. That's not Xs and Os, that's not talent, that's just...dumb shit. This team, like no other, just does dumb shit sometimes. No other way to explain it.

Jayson Tatum had more free throws than the entire Pacers team. It's actually funny how much he gets superstar foul calls for him at home. It's been like that every time I tuned into a Boston game. Indiana did have some bonehead turnovers, like why is Obi Toppin doing isolation dribble moves with the game ending soon? Why didn't they just inbound it into the frontcourt on their second to last possession? Worst case is a steal and Boston would have to run the floor with what I think was 11 seconds or so left and then you can actually set a defense on a transition 3, but there's also the case of them not expecting that and you get a good inbound. Why did they go Haliburton when it was clear nerves were affecting him late-game. Should've gone Siakim who was automatic from the free throw line. Hell, I would've rather had Hali pass to the guy (I forgot who) next to him who did not have Tatum on him... I just hope this doesn't absolutely kill their morale. Celtics didn’t save themselves. The pacers choked a free win away. better be thanking god the pacers gifted them that game.

Pacers were robbed by the refs, I’m more convinced that whoever makes it out of the west would destroy those bums unless the refs rig it for them, Tatum should be ready to go back home ringless if Wolves make it to the finals cause the NBA isn’t going to rob Ant, they love him too much for that

Pacers lost this game, celtics didn't win. I'm sad for pacers. Celtics should not have even made it this close.

This is a sweep, Indiana missed their chance, like 2018 finals when Hill missed the FT...

Saying the Celtics didn’t come out with energy when they dominated the first 5 minutes is hilarious but with that being said I don’t think the pacers will get a better chance tbh. Pritchard Kornet and Hauser all playing shit. Whit and Horford shot bad and Jaylen Brown was awful for all but 17 minutes; The pacers got Boston to play at their tempo, they shot better, and played harder but they turned the ball over way to much

Luke and Sam look unplayable in this series. Luke can’t do anything on defense when Myles Turner is just standing at the top of the 3pt line. He was actually useless in these moments. And Luke can’t defend anyone with all the off ball movement and actions. Every time Jayson got a rest we lost our lead lmao. Jayson had a terrible 4th Q and it was looking over. But we fucking stole it. A win is a win. The pacers played amazing for 46/48 mins in regulation and didn’t win. Can they even play any better from a shot making perspective? On the bright side the Celtics starting line up dominated whenever they were out there. The none Tatum minutes were horrible. Our bench was terrible even with Peyton making shots. Joe has to figure out the Sam and Luke mins. This seems more like a X series over Luke with his ability to switch PnRs.

This is the problem with Celtics discourse. Y’all are making up this weird arrogant persona yall think they have instead of acknowledging that other teams are good and get hot from game to game

they could have won by fouling when they were up 3

I love your channel and you give great analysis but your titles been pissing me off lol I hate clickbait so much and just really wish that yall didn't feel the need to do that. Missed their chance?? There's many more games ahead and the Pacers played dangerous tonight.
