He beat Maxi Hughes. Maxi wanted to fight an amateur style, of not engaging, every punch Maxi would jump back 2 feet. Hardly landing any clean blows, and has done zero since, hasn't fought a single guy since. Didn't go for a rematch, didn't go for shakur or anyone. Maxi was defensive the entire fight. Throwing punches in the air doesn't make points in prize fighting..

Teo couldn't fight for over a year after Kambosas, and that's how badly kambosas hurt him. Teo never wanted no rematch.. He got belted clean.. Kambosas is very hard to beat when you engage with him.. Loosing his trainer had an effect on his situation. I'm looking forward to seeing him back at his best..

@andrewmckay5103 that's what I'm saying. Teo didn't fight a smart fight. His father put 1 million on his son to knock Kam out in the 1st round. This played into Georges' hand big time. Teo needed to come in and out, instead he tried to go toe to toe and payed the ultimate price. And yes, he did get battered ! Not taking anything away from Kam because he did a job on him. What a silly move from Teos father. Completely sabotaged his son. If Teo had a good coach and corner he'd be up there. As long as his father is there the kid isn't doing anything.

The kid had massive depression because of the money his father blew and the fact that had he beat Kambosos he would have got the mega pay day fighting Haney, instead he knew he had to work his way up in small money fights again. That's depressing if you're in his shoes. Yes Kam beat him up but he didn't take a year off because of the physical damage. It was the mental damage that caused the most pain. Not to mention the battering his ego took. That hurt him the most.👌

I don't think george can ever reach the heights of his fight during lopez. The preparations leading to that fight, chasing it, going to america, staying there for months, having teo cancel and give issues etc.. What george put up with and overcame, mentally being that strong , it's like a hill he climbed, and going through that mentall challenge being so prepared and eager for a title fight and being so ready, don't think he will repeat that.

2 different cultures. I've explained this to American audiences when Kam and Haney met. And BTW, Haney is King of the division. I'm Australian mixed race. "Boy" here, is not the same as "Boy" in the way you explained. We use it to belittle to give someone a verbal lashing like they are a child, a boy, that we're superior, in charge here.
