I have the 840 non-solar version and battery life is perfectly fine. Didn't want to pay an extra $100 for gimmick feature I don't need. Unless you live in the desert where there's an abundance of sunlight, solar charging is unnecessary.

Can you upload a course from mobile phone while having started a ride? On previous edge's you don't have option to pause and then resume later and in the meantime upload some new course. I have basic forerunner and it's basically more useful than edge when I want to go off course and try something new.

​@@ev-ezaye3580yes i do, even more, especially after updates when I cant connect sensors like powermeter, HR... its still like beta untested product. There is always something that not work. Now I cant change weather location.
