Chaz attempting to use the Pistons to take credit for LeBron is basically no different from Scar trying to take credit for Simba. Both pretty much just sat there and waited for the rightful king to bulk up long enough for the both of them could get their ass kicked. And let's be honest, any legitimate Pistons fans should have no problem recalling the moment it happened; LeBron is in Detroit and he's headed into the 4th-quarter realizing that he's pretty much the Hulk stuck on a team full of extras. It didn't matter what the Pistons came with at that point, as Chauncey Billups has said many times, as LeBron goes onto score every single bucket in regulation and OT, putting that entire Pistons roster through the woodchipper and kickstarting the King James dynasty in the process. I'm pretty sure that same night, Ben Wallace took the Braun electric shaver to his head (no pun intended) and gave his own afro in tribute to the new king. This wasn't some passing of the torch; This was Deebo rolling up on his stolen bike and straight claiming it. And if we're being honest, the Pistons have been lucky to sell a single hat or jersey since. All LeBron practically had to do was hit puberty and it was over for the city of Detroit. Which reminds me... What the f**k happened to Tayshaun Prince? Has anyone heard from or seen him since, or is his ghost just roaming the halls of the Palace at Auburn Hills hoping to settle some long unfinished business?

No disrespect to Kevin Tate, genuinely, but episodes like this do remind me why DC is such an essential part of the group. I feel like too many people get on as guests only to treat it like some sort of audition, like they have to sell themselves to the world. While it didn't completely dominate the episode, it felt like everything Tate said was either meant to reflexively compliment himself or push some sort of unsolicited advice on the rest of the group. Like one of those people who cleverly starts off in a way that they're revealing some flaw about themselves only to turn it into a positive. That sort of thing, I think, works better when it's a radio sport or when a person is giving a very brief interview, but when you're amongst your peers it just creates an unnecessary competitive energy where everyone in the room feels like they need to prove themselves. Usually it's the exact opposite energy, because Tony, DC and Craig (especially) are so genuinely humble that everyone feels comfortable having their guard down. It's what I love so much about this podcast, because the energy and the chemistry are always excellent! And just FTR: I hope this isn't taken as a criticism, because this is easily my favorite podcast! I love you guys and think you do a great job selecting guests when DC isn't around. Richie Loco, for example, was the best. Just thinking out loud about this particular guest, but it was still a great episode!
