Our student to faculty ratios are through the roof, leading to huge class sizes and less engagement with individual students. We have to turn away prospective computer science students due to a lack of resources. But I’m glad the football program has customized barbells and plates.

I get you, but a lot of the money used to pay for this came from money made by the athletics department through marketing, ticket sales, etc. That money legally CAN"T be used for anything other than the athletics department, so It's gotta go somewhere. Trust me, I would rather have them tear down and rebuild all of the Old North side dorms rather than a new Basketball training facility and Baseball team House, but that money HAS to go to those because it belongs to Maryland Athletics.

In every one of these videos I see people who attend the university complaining about the state of the other areas of the school. People don’t understand boosters, and generous donations to the football specifically is the reason they can have this. For those pissy about the price tag, schools generate direct revenues from ticket sales, merchandise, donations and other sources. The price of the facility doesn't just come from Tuition prices. Alot of it comes from Donations, Merchandise, and ticket sails. I'm sorry to say, but without that football/sports team generating extra revenue your college campus would suck.
