Man if you don’t know Casey Martin’s story, y’all should look it up honestly. Man went through hell and back with losing his leg and taking the PGA to court with their rules that caused him to retire. I’m glad to see him still with the sport and coaching these future champions

Emerald was my home course when I lived in Eugene... I've played ECC several times and and Emerald is harder. I watched Tiger play at both courses and he never broke par at EVGC.

I’m kind of surprised with all the money oregon has that this facility seems a bit underwhelming compared to some SEC schools or even big 12. Even places like Arizona st

ASU is a premier golf school. Oregon isn’t. But I agree it does seem a little underwhelming

Oregon doesn't have a university owned course. Nearby Eugene Country Club, site of the national championship, is landlocked with no expansion room to host the facility and doesn't even have a driving range where you can hit a driver. Emerald Valley and the Pliska family were really generous to carve out a space for Oregon. There was a movement a decade ago to build a University Course west of Creswell and south of Eugene, but the donor who was leading the effort passed away and the project stalled before it became anything.
