Vince holds grudges toward people who he feels have wronged him, so it really wasn't that easy to just walk away. Once you are blacklisted or get a negative reputation by an employer it impacts your life harshly. Reading the text messages it's made clear early she did not like the arrangement especially once her body began to show signs of abuse.

Then you have all the creepy storylines over the years: Katie Vick, the proposed storyline where Vince was Stephanie's baby's daddy, Trish Stratus, Sable... it's so, so, _so_ gross. Anyone heard from Candice Michelle recently? I will bet you dollars to doughnuts that this case gets elevated from civil to criminal PDQ because _Vince has a history._ Him and Donald Trump are like two peas in a fucking pod, where they do shady shit for so long and manage to wriggle through the fingers of prosecutors for _YEARS,_ and now they're at a stage in their life where they have all this money and all this power and all this ego that they really do think they're untouchable. Vince's only saving grace at this point would be for him to plead not guilty by reason of insanity and then be remanded to a psychiatric facility for the rest of his days (or if Donald Trump gets re-elected in November and ultimately pardons McMahon). The only trouble is that there isn't a big enough neck brace in the world that Vince could wear that would give him sympathy with any reasonable-minded jury. Personally, I hope Vince rots in jail. Not just because of what he did (allegedly) to Janel Grant, but for all the times he turned a blind eye to other... _indiscretions_ made by others in his employ (Pat Patterson, Mel Phillips) or engaging in heinous acts himself...allegedly. Women aren't naive manipulatable victims just because Vince and many other weak men believe that they are.
