The discrepancy in the number of matched played by the top three big powers in the ICC is not based on the number of series played but it based on the fact the England, Australia and India are the only three teams who are playing five test series amongst themselves. All the others play two, three and even one test match series.

Faz raised some very important points. England have played 22 test matches because they value test cricket more than any other format of the game, yes they have the resources and in the short English international summer (May -August) they will play two international sides alongside the domestic games . This summer they gave West Indies 3 tests and Sri Lanka 3 tests. They have India in 2025 for 5 tests and will play a one off (test) against Zimbabwe also added to that they will play the 5 test Ashes series Nov-Jan 2025/26 so that is already 11 test matches accounted for. West Indies have Pakistan away , Jan 2025 2 tests, Australia home June 3 tests, and Pakistan in Caribbean July tests tbc. With regard to the WTC finals which I believe will be the last final played in England as they have now staged three, none of the finalists are afforded any warm up matches it's straight into England and a five day test irrespective of weather conditions which are a lottery, Jay Shah and the ICC really need to look at the format for the WTC going forward as the big three seem to have a stranglehold on who plays 5 tests, three, or two.

I prefer to see SA over India in the final. India does not have the bowling strength that SA and Australia do. Hopefully, SA pulls out one more rabbit out of the hat and wins it over Australia

If you had 16 teams you could have four divisions. Those teams could play one another and then the four division champions would play semifinals and then finals. Those would be the only test matches that count towards the championship.

Listening to the conversation or discussion about the icc test championship, you took too long to know that the icc organization is very much corrupted. The rest of the cricketing nations is allowing the icc to dictating to them too long like slaves, England is still imposing his slavery mentality on the teams, it should be a international free enterprise. Where the cricketing countries voted on certain laws of the games, not just England and Wales making all demands. Without all the countries making an input by using a satellite 🛰 zooming, where everyone can be apart of the meeting. You don't haveto be in the meeting in England or Wales, you can used the zooming system by the phone. The wi cricket needs a very strong group of people, to negotiate for the team players.

Hah it won't be that easy if my country Australia qualifies, at least with India's current attack you can survive Bumrah and its quite a bit easier, none of the bowlers in South Africa's lineup will be easy and all will test us in different ways, Patterson in overcast conditions and Mulder with the slope will be especially tricky and having to deal with Rabada and Jansen is tough enough to begin with.

You clearly dont know ish about Cricket ....Do you even know that Aus tried to cheat against SA because as always we were relentless against them they couldnt deal with DeVilliers , Markram , Vernon Phillander and others lol ... do you even know that SA is the only team that has a better head to head win record against Aus in ODIs only team we have beaten them more than they beat us let that sink in....dont even tell me about Ind...they are a joke white washed by NZ in their own conditions😂😂😂...SA has won ODI and Test serieses in Aus and Aus have done the same in SA both teams are evenly matched so to say they stand no chance is very stupid and ignorant....you must look at the stats...the only reason yoll think Ind and Aus are better is because of trophys only....SA has been ontop of test rankings many times in the past even now as it stands we are # 1 stop hating.
