Everyone keep talking about Sammy's success in the white ball format.What success? The T20 side has always been winning occasional series and the ODI side is still rooted at the foot of the table. I think they should let Sammy concentrate only on the white ball format.When we start moving up the ranks in both formats,then they can consider him for the post as the Test coach. Hence less pressure on Sammy to deliver good results.

Sammy was made coach because players in all formats are available for test. He has the relationship with the players. He brought Rutherford from the wilderness. Evin Lewis came back from purgatory. Hetmyer came back. He selected shai hope for the t20 team. He put Carty in the odi. He is a great man and he will improve the test side. I hope he gets Hope and Rutherford to play test.

The people are seemingly impressed by a few wins. Sammy is in my opinion a motivator not a coach and a micromanager not a man manager. This might get results in the short term but failure in the long term. What the team needs is a Sports Psychologist to improve the team and its players mental side of the game. The players are not thinking on their feet and seemingly have no situational awareness. To boot the players have developed a six hitter mentality. The foolish man will build his house upon the sand. There is no I in TEAM and too often I am hearing the word I.😢

@waynebayley5571 we had Rudy Webster it didn't help. I agree with another one but my view is lets 1st select the best players with hand eye coordination and technique. The decline started in 1995 there was no t20. Those qualities you are speaking of comes from training young players if you want that now you will be hard pressed to get that.

I agree, the transition was crudely handled, CWI could have announced their move later. Coley was coaching a weaker team than Sammy is, Test cricket is more challenging than ODI cricket when the players are not the best in the region. But this insensitivity happens too often at the CWI

Maria I liked the way you talked because you are always trying to be true full on certain topics, the wi team is having problems long before I was born and. It is not going to change whether you want to agrees with me or not, but you haveto called a spade ♤ a spade. There are too many insolarity is going on within the region, too many small islands and they does not make one and. They want to control the games from the bigger countries then, so you are going to have some major problems. They does not have the quantity players, to fulfill most of the areas. Because they have ltd among of players so they kept recycling them, so the team kept failing. I don't see why they replaced Coley with Sammy, because he is not going to make any difference at all.

This is really poor, negative, analysis by Mr. Mohammed. It is not abnormal to re combine roles after a split role spell. England had separate roles , now they have gone back to one man Mcullum doing all formats. By and large Colley's results have been average at best, our brand of cricket is also staid particularly our batting, furthermore , the test arena in general is bang average with a number of teams coming to the end of an age cycle, West Indies need to bat better for starters and they will get results. This is modern sports, it is not a lifetime job, the cycle starts in April and they have gone for Sammy's momentum which is the right thing to do.
