Career highlights video would show him with the Cup, on the ice with his 3 kids and wife, being at the All-Star game with other greats in the league, World Cup of Hockey member. This video is a Career Hits highlights package.

Great point. They missed a lot of stuff here yet showed the Hall hit 5 times, and the Stone hit with next to no context, minutes apart etc. Not the best editing.

@@rustyshackleford7271 Imagine a 'Top Sidney Crosby Career Highlights" video and it shows goals, assists, dekes and board battles. No play calls, no stat milestones or firsts, No Cup lifting, no trophy winning, no Team Canada or World Cup footage, no medals, no All-Star footage, no family at the arenas, no photos of him and Gretzky, no charity events. So yes, to label this Byfuglien's career highlights is incorrect. This is a hits highlights.

Still blows my mind that Chicago used him as a forward. I read an article on his offensive ability and he said he spent a lot of time stick handling, edge work and shooting. When asked why as a defensemen he replied "I hit people a lot and it gives me time with the puck i wouldn't normally have, I had no choice but to get good at it. "

I will miss watching him in a jets uniform, love him or hate him he was an absolute unit when it came to physical presence on the ice, the fact that he could demolish people with his hits and still be a pretty clean player is just insane, he's one of a kind and his play will never be fully replicated. I knew this moment was coming but I just held onto that little bit of hope that we'd see him lace up with the jets a little while longer, but this is just the way things gotta be. I will always miss his crazy antics with the jets.

Saw him play live in Ottawa, for the Jets, many years ago while at a youth tournament with my son's team. Every time he stepped on the ice, he was by far the best player - it wasn't even close. The thing I remember most about him was he never, ever looked down, ever, while skating with the puck, his head was up, on a swivel, just looking for the best play. He was the best player on the ice at 10 years old in the most elite kids' tournament (The Brick) and he was almost always the best player on the ice in the NHL. A true legend.
