On a night Ullmark in Ottawa has a .737 save percentage Swayman let in 7 for an .816 save percentage. I said it before, both these goalies cannot get the job done, unproven yet got $8.25m each! Both below .500 on teams supposed to be solid this year.

It doesn’t help that either defense is suspect right now. Boston played Dallas with no soul this season; Bruins were out scored by 8 by the Stars this series.

The last couple years Boston just trapped and gave up no scoring chances. It made the goalies look better than they actually were. They gave up the fewest scoring chances. This year, not so much.

Montgomery was living on the coat-tails and previous hard work of Bruce Cassidy for 2 seasons and his lack of real coaching ability is now being found out. They have also made some awful personnel decisions over the last 2 seasons. Time for Montgomery & Sweeney to go. Whoever decided Marchand is a leader needs their head examining.
