Winnipeg is my hometeam, I lived in Vancouver for 25 years so they're my backup team but I want to see every Canadian team make the playoffs every year, even Toronto so they can choke their way out for my amusement. Maybe if the Flames go after someone like Brock Nelson from the Isles before the trade deadline then try to go after a free agent like Mikko Rantanen in the summer, y'know, if they have the cap space, they could make the Battle of Alberta interesting next season.

He literally beat the Jets last week and only let in 1 goal in 39 shots. He beat LA in similar fashion the week before. He beat the Wild the night before this game. They play him first because they want to make sure they get at least one win out of back-to-backs so they frontload the first game (a strategy that I would like them to try and break from just to shake things up, but they got the one win on this one, so it still worked in that regard). Seriously, what are you smoking and can I have some?

Resting their number one goaltender after a tough game the night before is actually a strategy that every coach in NHL history has used. Their next game is against the Capitals, they’re gonna want to have Wolf rested (especially after the tough one against the Wild). While Vladar had a bad game, the team only mustered two goals in front of him, and that’s more than they usually get when he’s playing it seems. Playing the second game of back-to-backs is a tough situation for any goaltender to be in, especially when that’s becoming 95% of their starts.
