2 low slot goals, one of which was wide open, a deflection off of a defenders stick, and a 2 on 1. The goals Georgiev let in were not his fault. The avs skaters have started slow all year long…. I thought the Avs had a very good trade deadline, and it showed in that game. Mittelstadt is a legit 2C, especially when flanked by Lehkonen and Nichushkin (once he is back). Walker plays solid defense, while Trenin and Duhaime provide size and grit. I'm surprised that Avs are using Trenin as a center (which he was at Milwaukee but never for the Preds), but he seems to do a good job. I could also see Annunen wrestling the starting goalie job from Georgiev, much like Matt Murray did twice (from Fleury) for the Penguins on their subsequent SC runs a few years ago.
