Imo we played well on the offensive side, but our defence was October-tier. The last 3 goals were all from in close, and should have been stopped if our guy was strong on his stick. 2nd was Nurse (25). 3rd was Brown (28). 4th was, in order, any of Hyman (18), Kulak (27), Bouchard (2), or Nuge (93). We went fishing 6 times by my count, and nobody even touched a leaf stick. Embarrassing goal. Also, 2nd and 4th goals were pretty saveable. When Skinner’s on he’d stop at least one of those. 1st goal was just a low-odds distance shot that got lucky, and I don’t think there’s much to complain about or do differently. We were breaking out and left the middle D open.

That top corner perfect slap shot redirection of McDavid’s hard pass by Draisaitl in the dying minutes was an incredible snipe. What a shame it was called back; the offside rule is often ridiculous.

Why does the goal review come before the goal in these sportsnet highlights? I'd like to speak to the person who did that decision for these recaps. I guess I'm just gonna "I don't like this" -vote everytime this happens. I mean, what else can I do really?

One thing was proven last night IMO. Leafs cannot handle Oilers. yes they won, but 2nd and 3rd was not even close. Last 10 minutes showed who is better. I do not think Leafs could handle this in a 7 game series.
