Rantanen is so underrated by so many nhl fans because he plays with Mackinnon. But if you watch Avalanche games you'll know that Mikko is amazing even without Mackinnon.

Last year he was pretty mid. He got a lot of points but his play was, for the most part, pretty uninspired compared to the cup year

Moose gets overlooked in top player conversations but the Avalanche aren’t winning without him.

He doesn’t get “overlooked”. He plays with the best player in the game. Nate Mack and McDavid just overshadow everybody else. The only ones that can be mentioned with them are Draisaitl, Barkov, Matthews, Pastranak, and maybe Kucherov. But even then they’re all a level below those 2.

Mcdavid is dynamic dribbler so is Mackinnon and Drai and Rantanen both Have good playmaking and resilience and great shot

Great players and always fun to watch, but one piston engines rarely win SC:s. The key players get too big minutes during the season and adding enough depth goals in post season is the factor that tells apart good teams and excellent teams.
