I don't get the Marner laughter on D last year, he was actually really good there. Not to say he should, but it wasn't absurd, given he excelled in the limited minutes there.

That was a tight playoff style game. It's too bad that the refs had a direct impact on the outcome. Unfortunately, it happens sometimes. Hopefully, with guys coming back from injuries in the next week, the offense (especially from the bottom six) picks up a bit.

I was referring to the puck bouncing off the ref and straight to the front of the net to two Caps players. There was definitely some questionable penalty calls too, but no, I was referring to the game winning goal.

F1 F2 switch offs coming back into the zone happen all the time. This is taught at PeeWee now, Robertson needs to seal the boards. Nothing to do with Minten, he actually went to right spot, his hockey IQ is excellent. Bad awareness by Benoit as well, and a little unlucky as Dowd arrived late because he blew a tire behind the net.

Unfortunately, that's the rules. Now, if the puck bounces off a ref and directly into the net, then it's a no goal. But otherwise, refs are in play, just like stantions, broken sticks, and wonky boards.

Genuine question what is the obsession with bottom 6 guys in this market? Sam and JD hammer Robertson consistently and I don’t get it. Is it because he’s small and they have resentment because he is doing what they dreamed of doing? Honest question. I’ve never seen a bottom 6 guy hated more than him. I agree he has not been good but why do they criticize him like he’s supposed to carry a team haha. He obviously hears the pressure and is forcing. Relax on him for a bit
