Why would there be bad ice in Calgary? We know for fact that there was deliberately a heavy layer of slush for all the florida games during last year's SC series. Guess which team that favored. So smoky it looked like a Chris Angel show. But apparently no contracts were violated cuz they only promised the *ability* to create a competition-level ice surface. Whole other thing in the real world.

Wolf could've bailed us out on a couple of those tonight... the flames need to make him a starter. Vladar's a great backup, not a starter. Nice stick on the penalty shot tho

Too many give aways on the Flames part and goals 1 and 4 against Vladar were weak. Those were stoppable shots, but he overplayed them both.

Kind of sad that they made the penalty shot call and had the audacity to post it their channel. 💀 Also kind of sad that we had such a good game that was cucked by officiating. I don’t like bitching and complaining about the reffing because it’s always such a scapegoat, but this was BAD. If Utah is called for a double minor high stick instead of soft calling an interference against the Flames, Logan Cooley doesn’t score and Calgary’s hot power play gets another chance. If they call the blatant cross check on Huberdeau in the dying minutes, the Flames have a much better chance at scoring.

Hate to be that guy but the Flames had one more power play opportunity than the UHC. I would understand complaining about the officiating if your team had less pp opportunities but that's not the case here. At that point your power play might've just failed to cash in that game.

​@@ShepherdAnimations the number of penalties don't tell the entire story. Just because they called more doesn't mean they didn't let go of about 5 egregious penalties. Stats don't always tell the whole story. As he pointed out in his original comment.

@ I agree but I also watched the entire game. Trust me, when my team loses I always think the officiating was stacked against us. I totally get it, but even as an admittedly biased spectator I don’t feel like there were a lot of missed calls for you guys. A few here and there yes, but I would say the same for us.

The Kerfoot penalty shot was call was weird beyond belief. He was tickled a little bit in the elbow on what wasn't even a good scoring opportunity cuz he was in too close and couldn't even settle the puck. If this wasn't Utah, I would've guessed it was Vegas. Oh wait - what do these 2 teams have in common?? Oh yeah - they're both 'Gary's Teams'. Growing the market by hook or by crook.
