In this episode, we take a 2005 Harley Davidson Sportster 883 and give it a little "moto make over".

I swapped the 4" risers for 2" risers.

This is so simple and yet the whole vibe of the bike changed. Kudos. Great mini-build! Did you seal the outside of the tank?

Thank you! Yes, I sealed the tank with a few coats of clear coat to seal it from rusting.

I was always under the impression you had to remove those rear fender strut covers in order to run the Prism sissy bar? Did you have to use longer bolts?

I actually had my upholstery guy reshape the stock seat and recover it in leather.

what kind of style is this considered to be? a bobber? i’m relatively new to motorcycles and i haven’t got my license quite yet but this is something I dream of having but i just don’t have a clue what to research about. any help would be great.

Hi, this is sort of a bobber. Minimalistic & bare bones. Although a cafe racer is sort of the same idea but a different riding style. There's no wrong style, just whatever speaks to you.

Well I had my upholstery guy re shape & recover my old seat. BUT, check out the guys at PRISM Supply. They make a brown seat like that for a Sportster that looks even better!

It was not a prism seat but I had my upholstery guy shape this one to look like the prism seat,

Fortunately when I changed the 4" risers to 2" risers it accommodated the new bars.
