Excellent video ….but you guys missed few points…. 1) not taking archery even in consideration (archery team can surprise many ) 2) in between lakshya and christie only one will advance to round of 16 3) sindhu has to win qf against tokyo gold medalist chen yu fe in order to be in medal contention 4) vinesh in 50 kg is not a medal contender ….she has slight and outside chance that too due to reputation and experience …ritika in 72 kg has better chance than vinesh due to open field 5) in boxing nikhat is gold medal fav

The total number of medals depends on the population size, economy/per capita and genetics. Cricket, Bollywood, IT services and pharma and a few things as far as India is concerned. Olympics is not India's cup of tea and we know that The medals in Athletics is mainly African and African American, Cycling and Swimming and Soccer in European and South America, Bulgaria, Iran in wrestling and so forth. Japanese are gritty, hardworking but average height is about 5.5 ft good for soccer but a great economy for better Olympic haul Genetics plays an important role. When India was top 10 in soccer in 1960-70s, Jarnail Singh, the Indian soccer captain in the 60s along with PK Banerjee carried a Gene called R1a Haplogroup mt chondria. there is no comparison between common wealth countries and olympics. it is 10-15% of olympics. note that in common wealth other than austrlia no other country is sports savy country. 90% of mediocre countries in sports in common wealth (British Raaj countries with respect to sports) where as Austrlia was not even top 5. England became 4th by virtue of 1 sport cycling (most of the time they are not even top 10) and couple of Africa migration (Athletics)
