1) Turned Pro at 18 Years of age (2) Knocked Out his 1st 19 Opponents . (3) Won the WBC Heavyweight Championship at age 20, Youngest ever . (4) Won another WBA Heavyweight Championship at age 20 . (5) Won another IBF Heavyweight Championship at age 21. (6) Unified all 3 TITLES to become 1 UNDISPUTED HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION at age 21 . (7) First man to beat and KO the undefeated TYRELL BIGGS . (8) First and only man to KO LARRY HOLMES . (9) First and only man to beat and KO the undefeated Hall Of Fame Great MICHAEL SPINKS . (10) Defended his Championship 9 Times against (BONECRUSHER), (THOMAS), (TUCKER), (BIGGS), (BRUNO), (HOLMES), (WILLIAMS), (TUBBS), and (SPINKS), who were all in their Primes except (HOLMES) . (11) TYSON easily beat some of the same exact 1980s HEAVYWEIGHTS that gave LARRY HOLMES some hard tough Fights ... (12) The Prime Heavyweights he beat in the 80s had potential for GREATNESS, But the Prime TYSON trained by ROONEY stopped them from getting to Greatness Status when they faced him. (13) Lost Championship to BUSTER DOUGLAS, but still came back after to beat (HENRY TILMAN) , (ALEX STEWART) , and the powerful prime (RAZOR RUDDOCK) twice,.. (14) Went to Prison in 1992, where his record was 42 WINS with only 1 LOSS. (15) Did 3 years of prison with no boxing training which diminished his full prime Boxing Ability , yet still managed to comeback, recapture the WBC HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP by destroying the Powerful FRANK BRUNO, and TYSON became a 2 Time HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION . (16) Won another IBF HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP. (17) TYSON was past his prime in the 90s and 2000s, He still managed to destroy Younger Prime HEAVYWEIGHTS such as BRIAN NELSON, JULIOUS FRANCIS, LOU SAVERESE, CLIFORD ETTIENE , FRANS BOTHA and ANDREW GOLOTA who brutalized RIDDICK BOWE and ended his career . (18) Retired from BOXING in 2005 , which ended a 20 Year Career. (19) From 1985 to 2005 , YOUNGEST HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION at age 20 , UNDISPUTED HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION at age 21 , Recaptured WBC HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP after 3 Years Of Prison, Recaptured IBF HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP after 3 Years of Prison, Only Man to beat and knock Out Hall Of Fame Great MICHAEL SPINKS , 9 Straight TITLE DEFENSES , Record was 50 - 6 with 44 KO's in 20 YEARS . - "mike Tyson" (20) Oh, last but not least, MIKE TYSON was only a short 5'11 ft Tall HEAVYWEIGHT who beat majority of his opponents who were way Taller than him with much Longer Reach Advantages as well, for a small Heavyweight to accomplish what he did in the HEAVYWEIGHT DIVISION is automatically considered - "GREATNESS" !!!, because the average short Heavyweight TYSON size wont and cant last long in the HEAVYWEIGHT DIVISION like he did, it takes a special kind of fighter to be TYSON's size and achieve the things he did in the HEAVYWEIGHT DIVISION
@SportVideosSvOfficial2 жыл бұрын
21) TYSON set a record in a fight with Berbick. Peak Trevor Berbick (who was then coached by Legendary Coach Angelo Dundee) fell 3 times from Tyson's left hook. Also, I wanted to add that Iron Mike's record of 52 wins is 46 KO (Peter McNeely was knocked out, but was awarded the victory by "disqualification") Golota shamefully ran away it was a TKO and Orlene Norris was afraid to go to the 2nd round (and in my opinion it was Mike's victory)

I have a great respect for the man he has become today. He is one of my favorite people. I really like the Mike Tyson of today he became one hell of a good man with a huge heart. What I like about him is he speaks his mind and is not afraid to show his emotions about something he feels strongly about. Tyson is one of the greatest and will be a legend the same way Ali was. He really is one of my favorite people.

Mike is amazing. He's kind of like Cus now with his outlook on life. The press made him a monster. Tyson early on was a darling in the media with sponsors crawling all over him wanting a piece. It wasn't until Givens and he got with King that the media turned on him and made him out to be a savage. Then the rape conviction and prison in he 90's, Mike was on all types of drugs..he was a lost soul in the 90's. He must've had a spiritual experience that brought out the real Mike. I'm so proud of that guy. You couldn't write a better story or make a better movie than the reality of Mike's life.

I love watching the look on his opponents faces as they stare at him over there warming up lmao. The D'Amato Tyson that was elusive with head movement and combos to the head/body is the greatest fighter I've ever seen. I don't think anybody stops him in 86' enroute to the title to fulfil Cus's dream. He went around collecting belts like Link gathering pieces of the Triforce. That ominous noise in his Spinks entrance is actually a German WW2 V-1 buzz bomb. Greatest entrance of all time.

Mike Tyson was in his prime in the mid-80s was the most dangerous fighter in history. I believe one man could have stopped Mike Tyson in Tyson's Prime , buyout pointing him and going 15 rounds oh, I don't think I need to mention his name. But most calling the greatest!
@ronniecrownover71092 жыл бұрын
Yes in boxing more than any other sport who your trainer and how hard you train will determine one's greatness. Yes you are correct Tyson was 35-0 while D'Amato then his disciple Kevin Rooney where his trainer. Rooney adopted D'Amato teachings and they were unique to other top trainers in that they put the most emphasis on defense by upper body and head movement. D,Amoto trained another fighter to be a world champion in Floyd Patterson who without developing Cus famous "Peek-A-Boo" style would probably not done so well considering he had a thin glass chin😉. But yeah to your point I think it was only 18 months after Tyson fired Rooney and staff that he suffered his first lost and he never got better he actually got worse from there. Yeah when he was I under Cus and Rooney that's a different fighter and maybe the greatest. One fight he had, it might have been against the Jamaican but he was having more trouble than usual but he goes into a drawn out defensive rockabybaby side to side up and down motion as his opponent throws a barrage of punches. 16 I think. Tyson dodges all of them and comes up on a counter and throws just one punch. An overhand left that nails it's target and game over. I thought right then and there it was the most beautiful complete display of boxing skills I'd ever seen.
@perpetualmotion3572 жыл бұрын

@@jimkostan9932 I don't know man it's a good debate. I'm a huge fan of The Greatest and I want to say your right. When Ali took a fight serious and trained like it was a must win he never lost. Like when he knew he had to beat Norton the Second time because he had over looked him previously, or when he got his rematch with Frazier knowing he wasn't in his best shape the first time and a loss would hurt his legacy or when everyone and there mother thought he would get killed by the Mummy in the Rubble in the Jungle. Also when he over looked that bum with the missing tooth that drank the suspicious drink late in there fight he lost his title and he got serious and trained to win it back. Young Ali would have probably won like when he fought Liston he was so quick while dancing that he couldn't be hit. If Ali fought Tyson like he did Frazier the first time Tyson would win. Ali just stood toe to toe and slugged. Tyson at his best would get inside by playing Peek-A-Boo avoiding the jab and I believe he was the most powerful puncher ever.

Tubbs (ex-WBA), Tucker (ex-IBF) and Smith (ex-WBA) were also diminished after facing Tyson. Tyson said he gave Ali his word and eventually avenged Ali's post-prime losses against the Spinks', Frazier's (whom he avenged himself) but especially, Holmes and Berbick, whom he fought when far beyond the end of his boxing career with at least Parkinson's Syndrome, if not the onset of the disease. The latter 2 mercilessly tried to KO a limited Ali to claim his first KO loss but failed. Tyson said he cried when he saw those fights as a kid and remembered D'Amato on the phone with Ali, blasting him for not performing against Holmes (obviously not knowing Ali's real medical condition at the time).

So leave holmes out of that "he beat ali down when he was disabled " thats b.s
@MajikBoxx2 жыл бұрын
@@montestrickland3341 Why so aggressive and ignorant in your response, keyboard warrior?! FOH with your weak excuses. Holmes was raised by Ali as his sparring partner in the '70s and knew, more than most, that by the time he fought Ali, who had come out of a 2-year retirement with Parkinson's and slurred speech (that was evident years before after the fights with Norton, Shavers and Spinks), that Ali was medically and physically diminished. So, despite his crocodile/genuine tears after the fight, Holmes knowingly went all out, even in round 10, to humiliate and KO Ali in a manner that went above and beyond what was necessary to get the ref's attention after beating up on a shell of an almost defenseless version of the man for 10 rounds where Ali barely threw a punch. Holmes was bitter about being in Ali's shadow and unappreciated by the general public - even after trying his own lame poetry - and tried to be the first opponent to KO Ali (but failed). Fact is, he didn't even have to fight Ali, who was unranked and inactive at this juncture, so stop with that nonsense already. If you want to see an elite HW fighter trying to save an opponent from further unnecessary punishment in that era, look up the endings of Ali v Ellis/Foster/Quarry II/Patterson II. where you should notice that Ali took his foot off the gas and/or waved the ref in, even though these guys were still occasionally swinging and had also talked smack/up their intentions before these fights. Unlike Ali who had talked smack/himself up as Holmes expected) but had nothing in the tank, just had his hands up to protect his face, and was unable to use his arms, legs or move from the corner. Allegedly, he was also drained from taking thyroid medication to lose weight, which is why he was the lightest since the Foreman fight. Ali shouldn't even have been licensed for that fight: pre-fight tests from the Mayo Clinic showed that he struggled to touch his nose with his forefinger, slurred his speech and found it challenging to jump on one leg. Holmes may not have known the medical details but he knew that there was something wrong with Ali by the time they got to the middle rounds. Just happy that a young Mike Tyson noticed Holmes' attitude back then and lit him up for it 8 years later.

I have Mike too. The footage speaks for itself and doesn't lie. Ali, Foreman, Liston,Frazier, Marciano are all great but there were flaws. Even watching training footage Mike sticks out like a sore thumb. Nobody is moving like that. He's like a cheat fighter in a video game where power is on 10, speed is on 10, elusiveness is at 10. he also had a granite chin he was just barely hit to really test it. Tyson in 86' at his best, I would take that fighter over any other fighter in history. He was the closest to greatness we ever seen in the ring. He had all these physical attributes but rarely got cocky with it like an Ali or Jones. He remained focused and did everything how it was drilled. I often hear people say Tyson fought old school but the peekaboo approach Cus invented was an evolutionary step up in boxing. There is a science behind the movement. How to hit and not get hit. Cus actually advanced boxing and Mike Tyson was this state of the art fighter nobody ever seen before. Built from the ground up by the boxing wizard Cus D Amato. We'll never see another Mike because we'll never see another Cus. Both meeting each other, Tyson coming from a 70's street environment while Cus was hardened by the streets on NY early on, it was 1 in a billion they connected. I truly believe Cus when he said he summoned him. I'm usually a skeptic when it comes to that stuff but Cus is an exception. I have no reason to doubt him when he was right about everything else, even Mike's demise.

Iam fan of Mike Tyson but the truth is if Larry Holmes was 7 years younger ..I think it probably will be great matchup ...and it won't be a easy fight for Mike Tyson..but atlas 💯 Tyson will knockout Larry Holmes in that match.. Bcoz Larry Holmes is legend he defense his title for 20times in his career... WOW!! A fantastic fighters..I honestly think just imagine if Larry Holmes was in his prime in today's era heavyweight .. honestly..saying .todays heavyweight fighters like Antony Joshua, deontay wilder or Tyson fury all the heavyweight..they doesn't have any chance against the Easton assassin's Larry Holmes.. undoubtedly..!!

Feel really proud that 2 legendary boxers ever produced are muslims. Mohammed Ali n Malik Abdulaziz ( M Tyson) . Both were so so fearless that no one wasnt able to compete them or make them afraid. After those two legendseparate boxing died.

Iron Mike Tyson was the real thing; Unifying all the Belts at 21. Tyson is The GOAT Not Ali. Look at who Ali fought - then look at who Tyson Beat - opponents like Donnie Long; Quick Tillis; Mitch Green; Marvis Frazier; Trevor Berbick; Bone Crusher Smith; Pinklon Thomas; Tony Tucker; Tyrell Biggs; Larry Holmes; Tony Tubbs; Michael Spinks; Frank Bruno; The Truth Williams; Alex Stewart; Razor Ruddock; and Buster Mathis Jr. Those are some serious names - and All of those Boxers were at the Top of their Game when they faced Mike and lost....All while the Press, and the Boxing Establishment Hated on Mike, and rooted for him to lose.

Tyson is so good. He comes out and heads directly after his opponent everytime. He definitely is Iron Mike. Best in the world. Not Ali.
