not gonna lie, i was very much suprised at the lack of scoring abilty (from the bench). i couldn't believe only 4 people scored points in the final for belgium. saw almost no 3 pointers, almost no midrange. most of the points came from within the paint. very strange to see. belgium squad seems to exist solely out of meesseman, linskens, allemand and van loo. the rest almost just making up the numbers. was expecting more tbh. still very happy to see them win the gold.

Every team new this, pretty sure France and Spain thought they were gonna win it with the bench. And belgium played some nice tiki taka basketball

That final game was particular for both teams. They were tired and Coach Meziane from Belgium decided to secure the result with the starting 5 and he was right in the end. But in the previous matches, the bench was interesting (not only on the scoring sheet but in another part of the game). Resimont scored a lot of 3 pointers against Israel/Czech republic/Serbia, Lisowa and Mununga were very interesting at rebound (especially Mununga against France), Becky Massey was decent when she came in. Delaere is also very important in the team. She's the best defender of the starting five. But, yes, the bench was not enough concern by the final games. That's the choice of the coach. However I have to mention that Belgium missed 3 interesting players who were able to score points and 3 pointers in particular : Ben abdelkader, Claessens en Joris (injured). With these three players on the bench it would be very interesting

Vanloo scored the most 3 pointers in the tournament, Allemand broke the assist record, Lynskens was the player of the final. They broke two times the assist record in a single match in this women Eurobasket. Everyone speaks about the unselfishness of Belgium Team and that makes sens more than picking one player in the team
