It is October 1995, you're 10, your older sister says she's going to buy the Smashing Pumpkins new album. She knows you like them because you asked her about who they were when you saw the videos for Today and Disarm on MTV. She says if you give her money for a blank tape, she will record the CD for you. You think it's just another one of her scams but upon her insistence you give her money anyway. When all is said and done, you've the best album you've ever known in your life, nothing has come close, and nothing ever will.
