I like these videos, always informative and clear. Please make a video on requirements for sole responsibility and bringing a child of a partner as a dependent. Thank you.

Thankyou for the great video!! I have a quick question. If the sponsor is employed by a family partnership business (NOT limited company), is it correct that this means category A/B will be used, and there is no requirement to submit business documentation. And is it best to clearly clarify this in the cover letter?

Excellent video. I just have 2 questions, so I earn 20k annually but ote is 30k it is a commission based sales job and I have payslips with £2900 and £2500 from one month to another and £1900 and £1700 and so on. What I would like to know is when I am payed all payments are under basic pay and commission is not on the payslip would that be a problem or do I have to have payslips where commission is noted? And my last question. is my 20k basic annual income sufficient enough for the income threshold. Thank you for these videos I am preparing everything to submit myself and I just want to make sure everything is spot on.

Hi Omar, I'm glad you found the video helpful. The commission being included in the payslips' basic pay figure is not something that is necessarily problematic. You should first identify the relevant gross annual income calculation. This is discussed in Appendix FM 1.7, as well as in our "Spouse visa UK 2022 - Requirements and Process" KZbin video. If the relevant gross annual income calculation figure equals or exceeds the relevant financial requirement (£18,600 gross per year if the sponsor does not receive a permitted benefit and if there are no dependant children who are also applying), then what you have described should not cause you an issue. Regarding your question about whether your 20k basic annual income is sufficient, this is unfortunately not something that is possible to say without knowing your particular circumstances. For those who are not applying with any dependant children, a basic gross annual income of £20,000 is sufficient to satisfy the financial requirement for a UK spouse or partner visa - as long as the numerous Immigration Rules are met. All the best with the application submission. Kind regards, Jason Capper-Tan.

Very useful video. I just have a question regarding the dividend voucher. If the financial accounts submitted for 2022-2023 show dividends being declared can I transfer that money from my business bank account to my personal a year later, before applying for the visa? Would that still be accepted?

Hi please, Hope you doing well. My husband is about to sign a tenancy agreement where he will move in to an apartment on the 12th of May. My question is can we use the tenancy agreement and apply for the spouse visa application before he move in to the apartment ? We plan on submitting the application before the 12thof May. Just wanted to know if that would be fine ? another question regarding the bank statements. Since he will not be in the new address until the 12th of May...is it still okay for him to have my current address on the bank statements ? Or do the bank statements must have the address where he will be living at on the 12th of May ? Thanks.

Thank you for the video. I am on Fiance visa from 12/02/23. Relied on 2021-2022 financial year payslips (Self-employed sole trader) and applied for Fiance visa on 31/10/22. Now I am applying for Spouse visa. Would I still use the same financial year as I provided for Fiance visa even if there is a full 2022-2023 financial year availablenow?

I have permanent non-salaried 42 Hrs per week . I am working over 9 months with the same company. my last 6 months gross annual payment is over £26000 and I chose option 3 (different amout above financial requirment). but then I stumbled upon this: Include: Payslips covering any period of salaried employment (current and previous) in the period of 12 months prior to the date of application (This seems Catagory B) so confusing. Please help :) Ps no children so financal requirment is £18600.
