A nail does the trick for sure. So many scraps around the garage or house can be put to work. Thanks Jax! 🤘

My constant issue is spray paints constantly drying on me instantaneously. How can I slow down the dry time to be able to make the paint more workable?
@petercampbell85944 жыл бұрын
If your paint dries quicker than you want it to, try spraying some gloss clear coat on it. Rustoleum has a good one. That should make the paint more workable

at the risks of sounding like a broken record, did you ever make a video showing how drastically different it is to paint with montana vs over the counter paints like rustolium and krylon. if someone new tried laying rustolium down the way you laid the montana at the 7:05 -7:30 mark their whole painting would be covered in over-spray, i'm just saying, i remember what it felt like when i learned that the reason i had been struggling so hard for the previous 2 years wasn't because i just wasn't good enough to do it, it was because out of the hundreds of videos i watched and tried to duplicate know one ever mentioned that the paints they were using were mixed differently and sprayed with less pressure so they didn't have to deal with the over spray problems like you do with store bought paints....
@Aerosotle4 жыл бұрын
I 100% disagree that a painting would be ruined if you attempted what I did at the 7 minute mark with Rustoleum or krylon. I painted with Rustoleum for years and if you were ruining you paintings due to overspray when doing a similar technique, it’s is definitely due to a lack of can control on your behalf. I state super clearly that this video is all about PRACTICE! There is no painting to ruin... Rustoleum comes out much thicker and faster. See how close I have the can to the poster-board? That’s to prevent overspray. If your paint is pooling when you spray it close then you are not moving your hand fast enough. That’s all can control. Don’t blame the creators you have watched for the past 2 years for steering you wrong. If you were watching my videos prior to the past 8 months to a year ago, it’s alllll Rustoleum. Practice will make you better, not the type of paint you use.
@quadflopper10124 жыл бұрын
i never said ruined, those were your words, but it was probably just a freudian slip because like you said, you painted with rustolium for years so you know first hand how hard it is to dust, mist, or shade with the high pressure store paints without getting over spray all over your piece, especially with white paint and especially for someone just starting out and if you can produce just as good of works with rustolium then why did you switch from $5 a can paint to $15 a can paint but all this is easily settled, just make a video of you doing 2 side by side paintings of the same thing, 1 with montana and the other with rustolium in the same work space you painted this one and without fans to push the over spray away, easy peasy .....
@Aerosotle4 жыл бұрын
Quadflopper101 if you watched my previous videos you would see the techniques used with Rustoleum and lower pressure Quick Colour (made by Rustoleum) cans that I use and teach others to use. If you can’t execute a technique, that’s on you. No interest in spending my time to film and edit a video to prove anything to you
