Sauvage Elixir smells gorgeous with just a spray or two, but if you dare to go anymore it turns into a funky, old man type smelling fragrance very quickly. That's where all the Drakkar Noir comparisons come from basically just people over spraying it way to much. Amouage Interlude, Mancera Red Tobacco, Tobacco Vanille, Oud for Greatness, and Black Afghano are some other ones that have that effect. And god forbid spraying any of them on in summer. My husband was wearing Elixir a lot back in summer 2022 and it was the most cloying fragrance I've ever smelled. You struck my interest with Overture Man i have never smelled it but love your description.

Rasasi Shuhrah is still the strongest and possibly most divisive scent I own but I am just fascinated by it. My 90ml bottle has been mainly macerating in a dark drawer since 2019 and coz I only use it in cold weather and one spray is plenty I've only used about 10-15ml . The maceration has helped smooth out the edges and tame the Freesia (I'm not a fan of Freesia) so I enjoy it even more now. However, it is still something I wear for personal enjoyment at home, I still haven't had the courage to wear it out anywhere.

I have both Shaghaff and Shuhrah and during the warmer weather I wear Shaghaff and I have been told that I should wear it all the time so I wore Shuhrah in the cooler months and after the first 30 minutes it's so similar but different that it still has garnered compliments so go ahead and get out there and let the world know how unique you are

One of the best leather fragrances ever created and a real beast is the original M from Pure Distance. Its sadly discontinued. Smells like elegant, spicy, fiery leather. This fragrance is elite in performance and gives off an aristocratic scent vibe that imbues class and sophistication. Tyrannosaurus Rex by Zoologist is another beast if you want to smell like scorched Earth.

I saw Amouroud in the thumbnail and the caption and knew without even watching it was gonna be the strongest 😆. I own Oud After Dark, Oud Tabac, Oud Du Jour, Wet Stone, White Hinoki, White Sands, Lunar Vetiver, Santal Des Indes and today I just got in Sunset Oud, it's fantastic. Reminds me of Interlude with a greener pine/evergreen touch. Also have 5ml official decants of Smoky Citrus and La Rose Noire. I'll be buying a bottle of Smoky Citrus for sure. The La Rose Noir is too much. But anyway, Santal Des Indes is the strongest ive tried, I can't even wear it, dead seriously lol. So yeah, they are beyond beastmode lol. Definitely in my top 5 favorite Niche houses Definitely slept on. This is what I expect when I pay top dollar, and you can get them for less than designers! Lol

My husband owns both. I'd say Elixir is slightly stronger, but only by a small amount. Asad actually smells slightly better than Elixir to me too.

Hey Ross I have the 60ml of the aoud, and I wore that thing (2sprays) jus on the arms on a Miami night. Big mistake 😂. I figure they wear aouds in the Middle East and thought I was being safe with jus 2, naaaw! Too humid .

Anfar Royal Imperial London is that scent for me. EVERYTIME I wear it, I receive negative comments from others. They say that the scent smells like "Raid" roach spray 🤮🤢. That's not a good thing. This fragrance is very offensive to others!!

If you have Sauvage Elixir and you can't smell it don't spray it more than 3 times and if you don't want it on skin then just 1 spray on your shirt but you're going to have to wear that shirt with Elixir because it stays 1 spray in a water diffuser will fill the room
