@@GR_Astrophotography Yea it’s the same as clear tubing for water cooling computers, but it does take time to stain the plastic and make it opaque. The cost of replacing it based on the amount of usage for each video would literally break down to under 50 cents a video. It’s a worthy investment I feel... If not plastic then why not a 5 gallon Pyrex container? That will always be clear and after the mix dump the dip into an orange container and don’t break the Pyrex, lol.

I’d love to do this to my car but that’s not happening anytime soon and that’s OK because I can watch all your amazing transformations!😁 I have to bring this up because unless you have ever worked with color in any form, there is something most people don’t know about testing the color and I thought it was AMAZING that I saw you did it!!! The BLACK paint stirs!! Yes I know they don’t come black and yes I’m going to assume you have a set up to paint or stain a bunch of them black. People often think you need white to test color but actually, BLACK IS VOID OF ALL COLOR so if you test a color on black, you then will see what the actual and true color is and will be!!! Like I said, to see this is absolutely amazing and yes you have a new subscriber because the dips I’ve seen so far are fantastic and the Candy Apple is perfect!!!!

I think this is just the nature of it being plastidip is not much tou could do to improve it. A candy coat is at it's best with a smooth, bright silver undercoat and dip just cant provide that in the same way traditional paint can do. I paint models and candy coat can be the trickiest to make look perfect
@stevelozano95233 жыл бұрын
@@ShinnyMetal the candy would be best used with gold base to deepen the color and the silver just brightens it.
@ShinnyMetal3 жыл бұрын
@@stevelozano9523 a bright gold isnt going to deepen the color too much compared to bright silver and will alter the color more, though that may be desirable in some cases. A lot of what makes a candy deeper is the candy itself. If you really want to deepen it you candy over a more chrome like paint. Ultimately a gold undercoat isnt going to solve the dullness problem. That comes from not having smooth, high gloss surface from start to finish and that is difficult with plastidip, if even possibly

I used to do a black base then 2-3coats silver diamond metallic,then 1-2 coats clear with silver glitter or glowbel or both(glowbel-an original candy apple product,like glitter but bigger particles.)then some candy red coats then some clear with silver,red glitter and a touch of violet glowbel,and more coats candy red,and sometimes more clearcoats with glitter and more candy red until evenly covered,this is how to get true depth to the paint job,sometimes 20-30 coats,1 time 32 coats but with very little build each coat and getting them as smooth as possible(hard to do with glitter or glowbel.and yes,I know you know all this.glowbel is actually spelt glowble,I think,I still have some jars of it in my storage.before house of kolor,I'm sure candy apple was its own entity,all cans/containers only had candy apple on them,no house of kolor.candy clear was about NZ$15 a liter,3 times the price of Duco/Dulon clear lacquer.we weren,t rich back then,( or now )but hey,you gotta have a great paint job on the Ford mk3 zodiac or Holden Tirana,cheers and best wishes to you all,from,Auckland,New Zealand.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐👍👍👍🥰🙂🙂😉😉🌞

@itsmetheman_7790 Жыл бұрын
The reason it looks copper/orange is because of the first pass it usually takes around 5 passes the more the darker it all depends on how the customer wants it to look they are usually shown the results on a spray sheet with different passes and then they choose it is a good idea since the bill won't be less than 7,000 and upwards to 15,000 and more just wanted to share that have a nice day my friend
