Genki is a very loving mother gorilla.
Although Genki is a bit strict with Momotaro (laughs)
She is now taking very good care of Kintaro.
Now she is taking very good care of Kintaro, so it seems that Gentaro sometimes seems to hold back.

The Momotaro family were all born and raised in Japan!
Momotaro (father) was born on October 18, 2000
He came to the Kyoto City Zoo in 2010.
Genki (mother) was born on June 24, 1986.
I was born in Kyoto and came back to Kyoto.
Gentaro (eldest son), born on December 21, 2011
Momotaro and Genki's first child
Kintaro (second son) born December 19, 2018
The baby gorilla who is an idol.
I use Canon DSLRs for all of my shooting equipment.

Genki and Kintaro need a spa day. Kintaro only because he's nursing. They get to stay inside all day, and eat all the lemon grass and other stuff she wants. Momo and Gentaro get to be outside together all day! Suppose that would upset the balance? Just a thought.

I wonder why Genki and Gentaro have two white spots on their butts and Kintaro only has one.

All baby gorillas have a white fluff on their bottoms that identifies they are under a certain age to the elders which allows them to get away with most of their childish antics. The white fluff I believe starts to leave around the age of four years of age. The older gorillas marks are most likely worn areas from sitting on the cement flooring. If you see the wild older gorillas, they do not have these worn areas on their bottom but the babies will have their little white fluff marking.

Happy Mother's Day, Genki! Great compilation showing what a protective and caring mother is mama Genki. Sometimes Kintaro would ride on her back or cling to her belly. But mostly he clung to her arm and this amazing gorilla mother had to do everything one armed.

What ever happened to that abcess that was on her face ?? This video was taken ten months ago . Fast forward ,,, don't see it on her face lately . Also in this video she was probably experiencing tooth ache 👍 Kenny also sence something is wrong with his mom . Genki is my favourite gorilla in the world to watch, Kintero a close 2nd. I bet by his demeanor, he is growing up to be just like his beautiful mama. I just love her the very attentive mom, and so sweet. I love Momo and Gentaro too! They are my favourite gorilla family to watch. I have to watch them at least for 30 minutes before i go to bed each night, i find it so calming. Now if Momo can just get his wife pregnant again, maybe with a little girl next time? Hopefully prince Kintaro won't be too jealous of the next kid. lol

Какой же смешной Кентаро. Пользуется безотказной любовью своей мамы. Мама и на руку его посадит, и к животу прилепит и на спину посадит. Кентаро не покажет, что он сам быстро бегает, карабкается по гладкой стене. Пользуется любовью мамы катается на ней, как маленький. Жалко маму. Она беременная, все время хочет спать, а малышу жестом не покажет, что он большой и хватит маму эксплуатировать.

Аааааа, я с него тащусь. Какая прелесть)) он просто маленький ангел✌️👏👍😂 а Гентаро ревнивец)) ему трудно понять, что у Генки на первом месте малютка Какой у Генки знатный живот)) упитанная дама. Жуёт не останавливается)) Не пойму, как люди могли почти полностью истребить этих животных. Они же так прекрасны. Просто чудо природы. Заглядение. Они же божественные существа. У них повадки ближе людских. Им цены нет. Без ума от них просто За истребление этих существ, я бы ввёл длительный тюремный срок, вплоть до казни. Уж извините за жестокость. Но глядя на них.... Кем надо быть, чтобы довести до красной книги?

Genki needs to be put on a serious diet, her gut is ridiculously huge. Genki also needs to be put in with other females, it's unfair to the silverback that he has just ONE mate because dumb Genki refuses to get along with other females. She should be forced to get along, that or have her food taken away until she decides to do so. It's VERY VERY unfair to Gentaro as he has been abandoned by his mother in favor of her younger son, and he has nobody to turn to as he has no siblings as Genki refused to have other females in the troop, which means no playmates for Gentaro. UNFAIR. Stupid Genki.
