On the back-half of last video's trip, Aaron and I continue deeper into the park. We have a little more luck with the brook trout and also complete a monster of a portage to round out an amazing week in Algonquin!

I love the sounds! Water, wind, birds, insects, rain, zippers... all of the camp sounds that we yearn for. Loved it.

Just watching a few of your videos. Man i thought i was nuts in my younger days. Know some lakes in Algonquin a lot easier to get to and better fishing , for speckles usually . No crowds either . ie have to go solo though .

That site at the beginning looks like the one down the stretch of the Tim river. Beautiful spot!

I wish you had said how long that portage took! You got some nice fish - thank goodness!!! For the most part your weather looked great ☀️. Beautiful cinematography. No animals except the frog and the loon? I’ve not seen you use the hanging water catcher before…. Was that bear spray you were checking out?

The portage took us over 6 hours. Had great weather all considered. Frog, Loon and also saw a big moose swim across a channel but it was too far away to get a good shot. Yes, we wanted to test out the bear spray as this canister was expired, it had a bit more juice in it than I expected but it also didn't spray quite as far as I thought it would either!

Nice trip Guy's!....Some good fishing, I like that Teepee tent and that 5.2 km portage X3 must be a killer.

What are nighttime temps this time of year?
@wildernesscanuck3 ай бұрын
They can hover around 0 degrees plus or minus a few. I think considering how mild this winter was we probably were waking up to 5-10 degree weather all week.
