Spring Birds from

Lets make some lovely spring birds in ceramic look!
Material list:
- Clay in white and pastel colors (I am using soufle Lilac Mist and Premo Light Pink and White)
- Sculpey or Kato liquid clay (transparent)
Color or Chalk Pigments (I use: www.polymerweek.com/product-p... and www.polymerweek.com/product-p... )
- Gold embossing powder (optional, if you like god edge)
NOTE: in this case you can also use gold acrylic and paint the edge as well after baking of course. But before painting you need to sand edges, because painting enhances all imperfections!
- Brooch component
-Wire (I use brass wire 0,8mm) and it is hammered
-Heat gun - for ceramic look and for embossing powder
-Scalpel
-Egg shape cutter (Size is up to you, mine is about 50mm = 2")
-Blade
- stylus is useful for eye dot
- any textures with delicate (more busy) pattern, shallow are better than very deep.

These are so cute! When you said you use a heat gun (around 7:44) to make a ceramic look, did you apply Sculpey liquid glaze, or is it just the baked surface of liquid clay and pigment?

It is just the baked surface with sculpey liquid and pigment, so not necessary to add even more liquid.. :-)
