This is a no talking version of my last video. I'm trying to gauge which style of video people prefer? Thanks for watching. Steve.

The soundtrack on this one said it all Steve. No words necessary. Thank you. Paul 👍😊

The woods provide peace, but as your video attests with the birdsong, little quiet at times. What a nice serenade to celebrate the lush greenery and the fauna it shelters. Always good to join you virtually on these outings, Steve.

I think some silent, meditative ones like this would be a great addition to your video list along with the instructive talking videos too. Camera work is beautiful as always. Many thanks for sharing 😊

Love both Steve. Probably no help there. But you do have a nice way with the camera that’s as interesting as the nature camera work. I’d be tuning in either way 👌

I must admit I like a bit of chat too, when appropriate. A big attraction of your videos for me has always been the superb wild life photography. Also the wood management stuff is interesting. Thank you.

Hi. Thanks for the feedback. I'm hopefully going to do another woodland management video, I'm never to sure if people are interested or not? Steve.

Great video Steve. Talking / not talking are both good. Maybe a bit of both.

I like both styles, though I mainly watch because I find the veggie cooking whilst camping to be an interesting creative constraint, all the best from Sweden.

Hi Robin, so not everyone likes a 'steak' video? ;) Thanks for the feedback. Steve.

Nature says it all. I asked a similar question last week, I got an either or answer so I'll give the same to you :)

I like your videos with you talking, although you call me strange! Although to be fair a grown bloke sleeping in a wood on his own is pretty strange! I think the key is only talk if it helps the video, I think most watch my videos for the nature not the talking. Plus I still find it strange talking to a camera on my own. Thanks, Steve.

You have a lovely voice for narration! Would love to hear a real life 'dawn chorus' rather than a recording over. (Sorry). love your videos x

Thank you. Believe it or not, the bird calls were all real, they were very loud that day! What I do when I film lots of short clips like I do is record 2 to 3 mins at the same time of natural sound and play it over the edited clips. That way there is no sudden stops between clips, but for most shots the sound is all natural, recorded with the film. As for my voice! I try not to talk too much as I don't like my own voice! Thanks for watching and your feedback. Steve.

Talkies for me, definitely. Hearing you explain what you're doing etc makes me feel much more a part of the experience. Also, when you talk, you only say what's necessary and sometimes you just let the film do the talking. Too much commentary can detract from a film, but your succinctness enhances it, in my opinion. But if you decide on the silent movie approach in future, I'll still keep watching.
