Spring Cattle Crossing

A little slice of life, as the neighbors let me film a yearly ritual at their farm: the moving of the cows to their summer pasture. This has happened every year at this farm for 105 years. The knowledge of where to go -- and what's on the other side -- has been passed down through many generations of cows.

After 105 years, I these cows are basically genetically modified now to cross the road to the grass.

They did pretty good other than going in the garden . I hope the onions didn't get hurt to bad .

The onions seemed to be okay. Apparently the cows behave going in this direction but not in the other direction. I helped last fall and it was a lot of running and cussing. 😂 This was cake by comparison.
