It’s so crazy sometimes how quick it happens then nothin the rest of the day. Both times out bites within 10 mins then nothin. Just goes to show ya gotta be ready

Rich, you are spot on with that comment. It feels great to get an early fish but that doesn't mean you'll get another chance.

Would you fish the lower river over the OC falls still?

On any given day they can both perform. With the water temperature staying low there is still good reason to fish OC. Once the river flow drops and the temp rises those fish are going to blow through OC to get over the falls. The head of the channel will become the focal point at that time.

Just take note that the water will clear sooner at Oregon City. It'll take longer to clear up at the Head of the Channel and Lower Channel.
