I try to plant perennials around my porch that come back every year. I have Day Lilly’s and Cala Lilly’s and Black Eyed Susans. The annuals I plant in my boxes are marigolds, petunias, impatiens and vincas. They look pretty mixed up together. Marigolds are easy to take care of. But when it’s hot, all flowers need lots of water. The ferns too. Also geraniums are pretty. Loved your new rug and spring decorations. 😊❤💐

You do great decorating with what you have and adding in new stuff here and there. I love your new rug, it looks so good in the living room. I also like the stack of books with the beads on top….it always looks so cute sitting next to something “seasonal” or even just sitting next to a pop of greenery. It’s too special to put away so I like that you always incorporate it with your decorating. 😊 The roses are gorgeous on the side table and even matches the vase! I could go on and on with my likes lol you do great work and I enjoy your videos. Your so down to earth and I can relate to that 😊 👊

I love the new rug! Shag rugs and carpets are nice but not practical if kids and pets will be using it. Plus, it seems like vacuum cleaners have trouble cleaning it. Spring colors are so pretty and makes the house feel fresher.

I feel the same as your hubby as far as big furniture purchase. I really want new living room Furniture but I’m going to wait until the day I buy which isn’t any time soon’ lol I’m nowhere near buying a house and my current couch and loveseat are still in fresh condition

Marie, I love, what we call here in Tennessee, Moss Rose (Portulaca). It comes in solid or multicolor and will spill over the sides of your planter and it won’t die if you miss watering for a day. I also love Lantana but you can’t miss a day watering.

Marie if your front porch doesn't get a lot of shade I'm not sure ferns will make it out there. I saw the other day on Amazon where you can get fake ferns . I was looking for my daughter she can't keep the alive . They have all kinds of greenery. It's a little pricey ,but you could buy one then buy another. Everything looks beautiful darling. ☺️💗

I had a fern on my porch last summer, and it lasted most of winter and finally died. My front porch is shaded most of the day and gets sun in the evenings, however my back porch gets mostly sun, so my plants don't last long on my back porch. 🌼 🌸

I think just start buying furniture as you needed because when you buy your home it’s just so much stuff that you need and it gets expensive telling you by experience😊

We're renting so we can't make huge changes. I do like the white front door, but I'd love to ask my landlords if we can paint the porch anything but white. It stays so dirty lol.
