The Folio Society can be credited as truly environmentally conscious. I recycle the cardboard box; the accordian-style, wood-like material that replaces bubble wrap; and the wrapping material around the actual books (after removing the tape). Oh, and the books are nice, too. ;-) Thanks for this.

If I were to buy Around The World in 80 Days I would remove the map. I feel over time it would spoil the spacing of the bind, unless they’ve already accommodated for that, in which case I would be annoyed. I currently have Jurassic Park, The Lost World, The Godfather, Misery, The Road, His Dark Materials and La Belle Sauvage. These are (apart from my Cemetery Dance Stephen King book) my favourite books I own.

what happened to fs cloth bound and leather bound books? now there just printed cover hardbacks it looks like. im in 2 minds if i should go ahead and start collecting these as the newer editions look nothing like older editions.

We definitely have some of the same taste in books. In my last haul I got The Road, J. Park, and the only reason I didn’t get the Diversity of Life is because I think it’ll be in stock for awhile. But it’s a must have for me. Instead I went with Night by Elie Wiesel and I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings. I also got Casino Royale which is gorgeous. Which of the books from the two hauls you’ve shown are you going to read first?

They sound great. I felt the same about DoL and also thought that it had a good chance of appearing in their summer sale but in the end I didn't want to risk missing out on it. I'm trying to hold off on the James Bond books in case they do a complete set with a box or something similar once they're all released but it's hard not to be tempted every time I'm on their website. I was planning to read The Road first but I might take your advice on Empire of the Sun instead

@@thehomelibrarycollection7360 One thing to keep in mind about the James bond books is that the illustrations on the slip cases are not included in the book. At least for casino royale, I can’t be sure on the rest but I assume it would be the same. So those illustrations might not be included in a box set.

Very nice! I recently got Around the World in 80 Days from FS and I'm liking it! I really like the map but I can understand your concern, especially when it comes to condition over time. The only thing that makes my brain twitch a bit is that the title is off-center. It might be deliberate but it's just one of those things.

Loved the video quality but the background music is too loud. Try decreasing DBs on your audio channel, or cut the audio to parts of speech and non-speech and then you can increase BG music in the latter.
